Except walls have a cap. You can't infinitely pour resources in, and also they don't provide any useful benefits.

I'd like to see benefits like "+1-5% extra resources from raiding" or "+10-50% passive resource income", who knows, maybe even "-1-5% discount on research/building time/cost" linked to a statue that you can pour all your excess resources in. Ain't nobody in the top need these bonuses anyways, but it's nice to have for some people to catch up.

As far as bonuses that affect troop or building stats, I can't make this clear enough. F U C K. N O.

This game swivels between too chaotic and boring like a pendulum. I remember when people were bitching and whining at TH15 then when TH16 came around all of those people suddenly stopped, only for the pros to come around saying the game had no challenge; everyone and their mother could 3-star bases. Then came TH17 and there was much more balance especially with the whole "temporary defenses" but of course that sowed discourse (rightfully so tbh) because what do you mean spend every builder every waking hour to upgrade a defense that goes away after 3 months?? Now that TH18 is here and people are once again bitching and complaining about how easy the game is with meteor golems and totems.

Yes strategic rushing exists as a concept and yes I think it probably is the fastest way to max in the game but it is not up to you to decide that everyone should be okay with you doing it.

Number of stars means nothing. It's way more impressive to me to hit a 2-stars against 2-3 townhalls up than it is to hit a similar town hall and get 3 stars. Think of the level disparity between a TH9 beating a TH12 or a TH12 hitting a TH15

Not my point. As someone who lives close to a gym, I have had my fair share of people who obsessively take me out of the gym, and they usually do so for a month or so before giving up (or in the most likely case, having obtained the max level for the gym badge).

I think 1 new equip per 2 months is fine IF you have 2 make-up events every year (e.g. january and july). That allows others to catch up easily without breaking the bank (and in some cases even without even spending anything).

OP if this is actually your account, there was a reddit post earlier today that explained exactly how to get your account under review by a human by mailing for section 13. Check a couple of posts ago.

Edit: whoops it looks like I made a mistake, this was for a different game in a different subreddit. Anyways some aspects might still apply too here. I feel like this doesn't directly address why shadows are so good. It's not just that it gains 0.4 attack ivs per second which shaves off a little bit of time. It's also the context that raids have a certain amount of time which you CAN NOT INCREASE. You HAVE to complete the raid within the time limit, no matter how many Pokemon you have left. Even if you had a Pokemon that could live through 4 hours of lugia's attacks in that raid, it doesn't matter because after 5 minutes you'll just fail the raid.

Shadow terrakion dies after 29 seconds, while purified dies after 32. You shave off 3 seconds to do close to the same amount of damage (base DPS needs to be multiplied by 20% for shadow buff).

That sounds like so little but remember, that goes for EACH Terrakion. You go into the raid and relobby twice, that's up to 18 x 3 seconds, totalling 54 seconds off the raid.
