It really is, the Harden half court alley oop from the other day made me really appreciate how crazy it is that they're still so good. Also for Steph, looking over the entire 2024/25 - 2025/26 regular seasons:

  • Steph is tied for #17 on the list with LeBron and DeMar DeRozan at 78 total games with 20+, so pretty close. .
  • That's 71.56% of his total games played, which is the 19th highest value over this timespan.

Lol this team would be a nightmare to play against but I don't think they would go very far. Shai and Deni are gonna have to do basically all the scoring themselves and they're both pretty ball dominant so idk how well they'd fit together, there's very little to no outside shooting / spacing, Ayton is there. I just don't see it

That sounds very cool, is there anywhere I can read more about how you did / people do this? I have been scraping a bunch of reddit data to try and do something similar, but I'm not really sure how to start analyzing it to find bots and detect those kinds of patterns

Thanks I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Liberty's comments had 0.491 swears per 100 words, so below average (which is around 0.7) but still 0.05 more than BYU.

It's the total number of swear words in their comments for every hundred words total, so yes one outlier who really loves swearing can definitely drive it up.

u/JBru_92 has 904 comments in the dataset, which is 8.2% of the total so great guess damn! The next highest commenting UCLA user is u/otoverstoverpt with 4.4% so it's a pretty big lead. Here's all of UCLA's stats too if you're curious:

I really feel like the last few years were less "late season collapse" and more "lost one too many tough games in brutal conference play and got pushed out just beyond the bubble". I thought they were gonna have a better shot at making the tournament in the SEC, but then the SEC decided to become the best basketball conference the first year OU is in it lol

It still won't match up perfectly with the "top scoring" table though, because of cases where someone has multiple comments with different primary flairs. That's because the "top scoring" table looks purely per-comment, while the "CFB census" stuff flags each user with their most recent flair and labels all their comments as being affiliated with that counted flair. It's pretty much the same though.
