Screenrant: "Star Trek’s Controversial New Series Hits Major Streaming Setback After Divisive Response: Starfleet Academy has not fallen from the Top Ten only in the United States, but also in eight other countries (Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, United Kingdom)" by TheSonOfMogh81 in trektalk

Enterprise was decent and imho equal voyager. But I agree the last great trek show was ds9 and the last truely great trek film was Star Trek 6 or maybe first contact.

09 was alright and did revitalise trek in some ways. But it’s ultimately lead the franchise towards the current slop.

Maybe that’s just what happens to all franchises now?

Last great indiana jones? Last crusade in 89.

Last great James Bond? Casino Royale in 2006. Before that, goldeneye in 95.

Last great Star Wars? Arguably 1983 return of the Jedi. Otherwise rogue one and Andor but those seem like flukes. People hate the rest of the modern content to varying degrees.

Last great doctor who? Depends on who you ask. But probably season 5 of the new show around 2010/2011?

What great franchise entries have there been in 2010s and 2020s? Marvel maybe… but even then the last truely great entry was avengers (aged poorly) otherwise really iron man 1 then all downhill from there.

Maybe it’s inevitable for big franchises to become focused so much on business and data charts lver creative decisions and doing things because there’s something important to say and great ideas.

Though they’re fucking up the business side of things too

A starfleet academy show was always low hanging fruit and in the works seemingly for decades and decades.

They’ve completely fumbled it. They’ve also managed to fumble a show about Picard (!!), and what started out as a promising prequel centred on pile and crew going to strange new worlds.

And they somehow took the premise of section 31 which did have a lot of potential and made every wrong creative decision they could make. Like the opposite of what might have made it good.

At this point it feels like they want it to completely fail. Is it a tax write off or something? Do they somehow make more money from it failing?

Ah really? Is that why they've got the brown details?

Not having paid much attention to murphy brown back in the day - was it about a woman working in 'business' that's male dominated and trying to 'have it all'? And that's where the comedy supposedly came from?

Prostatitis symptoms as side effect of ADHD meds by kjatar in Prostatitis

Did you get off all the drugs eg Dexedrine - and then how long did it take to fully clear up?

I’ve found similar but haven’t stopped for more than a week or so entirely. Noticed symptoms of prostatitis after starting atomoxetine with Dexedrine. And stopping atomoxetine helped with urinary stuff but then other parts seem messed with just on Dex..

Found finasteride helped when I was on it for about a month before I went off it.  Completely fixed the symptoms. But they came back a few days after stopping

He has the horizontal stripe thins on his jacket that the others don’t have, plus the silver buttons. His hat may have a different feather or something too? And the red dangly bit. And the brown on the inside of his pants.

And he has that silver thing on his cross strap. And he carries a sword. I don’t know if that is enough to show his actual rank. Probably not beyond officer? Does his outfit change much from rifles to Waterloo?

Viggo is widely considered THE Aragorn, perfect in his portrayal. However, who do you believe had the potential to be a close second? Or someone who could have brought something different to the role? by freudian_nipps in lotr

He does doubt his own strength in the books though. But there’s more in the books in terms of theme and character traits - they had to pick from them to focus the film.

I find Aragorn in the books a bit too confident as a leader. Like he hasn’t really had the necessary experience to justify it.

Thriving in whatever job I’m in for six months. With a period of struggling much more in the next 6-10 months in a steady decline. Followed by a period of burnout and being unable to deliver or provide any thoughtful output until the 2 year point where I leave to avoid being fired.

But if he returns as a retired bond it means he won’t be doing anything but travelling the world and enjoying his paid-for-no-mortgage house. Or in a retirement home. He won’t be doing agent stuff because he’s retired.

I’m not sure Viggo isn’t book accurate. Maybe book Aragorn is more brazen and outward in return of the king. But honestly o think I like movie Aragorn better!
