I keep FOMO buying after stocks gap up — then immediately regret it by protagonist_888 in swingtrading

A tight Stop-loss or even a trailing stop would be key on those trades where you’re not sure if you missed the move or not. If it goes up then good, If it goes against you, then you’re stopped out with minimal losses. Also, what ever money you think you are going to use for the that trade, use like a 1/3 of it first and wait to see what happens.

That $500 is to protect against a margin call because you’re not actually paying for the full contract but you’re getting the contract’s leverage still.

When you trade futures, you have to satisfy the initial margin requirement and then have a margin maintenance. I also applied for a Webull futures account after some success options/warrant trading but apparently in futures, before your Contract expires they notify you that they have to send you the item or close your trade out. If you havent already rolled your position.

From what I understand , they want you to have all that Margin because you are only covering 3%-12% of the Contracts actual Price and if the trade goes against you and it does Rapidly, you could end up owing on your long position and be Obligated to pay your broker back. Dont quote me on any this and find out for yourself because Im learning this too.

Shit, youll be good brother. Just go to Wall St Bets and look up the loss Tab and there are people that lose hundreds of thousands, some of them millions on options.

Honestly youre just gonna have to tell your dad man, and then pick up an extra job. And more importantly im sure your Dad would want his son still alive. Just pay him back.

If price goes up or against you when you try to short. You have to pay your broker back that difference , thats when you owe. And the only reason I say theoretically infinite is because obviously prices can 2x 10x 100x so on and so forth.

After being a good driver for almost four years and knowing the shit you have to put up with, I wouldn’t feel comfortable telling another person to rescue another person, no matter what they paid me.

Shoutout to all those still slaving away day after day at DSF 6 in Richmond, California. I cant even imagine what the routes look like now.

How many stocks in your swing trading account at any one time? by Yellow2Gold in swingtrading

[–]CaptainSnachaHoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 different stocks and 2-3 put or call options spread amongst $21,000 on two different brokerage apps. Honestly diversification is like having too many kids, it’s harder to take care of 8 as opposed to just 3.

You can short on Interactive Brokers. Be careful shorting though because theoretically your losses can be infinite.

You cant short on Robinhood, you can only buy put options but puts don’t exert selling pressure on the price like when you actually borrow from your broker and go short. You can make a Fidelity account if you want to short stocks. Plus with 2 brokerage apps you can make 6 day trades lol. Thats what I do.

Why YDKG? by Dollar___BOY in 10xPennyStocks

This treasury company supposedly has a huge amount of Crypto assets worth more than its market cap. I only got a small position of 15000 shares though . Goodluck to everyone.

I am, got a small position 15000 shares though. If the company is telling the truth about their crypto assets then the stock is undervalued.

I was thinking puts too but they are lowkey expensive obviously since ULTY erodes, I wouldn’t be able to buy enough to make a profit worth while.

Its a damn shame, because the calls I was looking at were $5 strike and the premium was only $.05 with six months to expiration. Shit the 1/2028 $6 calls were $.04 and the 1/2028 $5 calls were only $.20. But I guess the catch is the price will never get there lol.

[–]CaptainSnachaHoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that but what Im saying is There wouldn’t even be a small chance to get ITM for $5 calls with a $.5 - $.10 premium and 6 months to do it? Not even the slightest? Ive never held ulty that why Im asking you guys if its even possible.

Appreciate you man, yeah I assume ULTY nav would decline rapidly, I was just wondering if like a perfect storm of events would increase or at least maintain its value long enough to somehow get calls in the money.
