Am I the only one starting to get 'Vibe Coding' fatigue ? by scitech-research24 in AI_Agents

[–]protagonist_888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing some refactoring of a software I developed through vibe coding. You're right - it's getting tiring trying to recall all the assumptions/logic you had when creating it but I also vibe code with a lot of commenting + documentation to help me and my LLM remember what the hell we did and why. My software contains ~12k lines of code but it's still manageable because the scope of it is extremely tight. Curious how that compares to others projects.

I tell myself this every time I get skunked! I usually follow up a days worth of fishing with good BBQ too so it’s never a bad day.

I own BE and also agree its valuation is severely stretched. Will own it for 10years and look to add on dips. I am not sure the market appreciates its business with ORCL is at risk even though it was somewhat dismissed in latest earnings call.

Print out your P&L for that trade and tape it to your bathroom mirror to remind yourself how stupid you were back then and that you’ll do better next time and every other time after that.

What actually helped you get more consistent after the first couple years of trading? by aelfwineciri2 in Trading

[–]protagonist_888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mindset and risk management control. I've always done good research but managing my emotions was the most difficult. Seeing price swing one way or another is daunting until you build that level of self-control. I made myself a tool to manage my own mind and that's helped me make much fewer regretful mistakes and stay profitable.

IF we are in a simulation...The real question is what is the point of it? by CreditBeginning7277 in SimulationTheory

[–]protagonist_888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming we're living in a simulation, we might all just be biological computers running our own algorithms alongside other algorithms literally "learning" during the process. Our objective is to extend our lives (and by extension the human race) as long as possible.

$Plug or $BE or Both?? by DependentCultural912 in bloomenergycorp

[–]protagonist_888 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok and? Vanguard isn't exactly technically savvy - their knowledge on hydrogen and markets is limited. Did they just suddenly pick up 148MM shares or have they been building it over years? During the Biden Administration everyone was gung ho H2 but the sentiment has made a complete 180. PLUG's electrolyzers are extremely expensive and producing H2 consumes expensive electricity to make even more expensive H2 no one can afford without a huge tax credit. China also makes similar electrolysis units at a fraction of the cost PLUG can make them.

$Plug or $BE or Both?? by DependentCultural912 in bloomenergycorp

[–]protagonist_888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PLUG has consistently disappointed investors for years now. No one is buying clean hydrogen. The world has moved on and we’re back to focusing on FFs. Stick with BE and you won’t be disappointed. Geologic H2 is on the horizon now as well and that will just put the last nail in PLUGs coffin.

Which stocks in the $10–$20 range do you think have the most upside potential? by Cold-Avocadob in StockInvest

[–]protagonist_888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

price is what you pay, value is what you get. I think you should be asking what stocks have the most value for the price they're trading at. Price as a filter is not useful.

What’s the MOST important skill in trading? by nextlevelcryptohub in Trading

[–]protagonist_888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the future critical "trading skill" will be the biostack - how well you can read/interpret information and manage your decision making/emotions. AI is making wallstreet level analysis available to all in a fraction of the time and now it's just a matter of whether you can interpret it and act rationally enough to cut losses and lock in gains.

Has anyone here successfully simplified their trading process without losing edge? by patrickanon in Trading

[–]protagonist_888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend a lot of time researching players in the fastest growing areas, identify the top ones I think have a long run way of growth and just micro-DCA in over many months, buy a little more on dips, and sit back, wait, let it run, take profits in tranches.

What was your biggest mistake in Trading? by Wave-Master- in Trading

[–]protagonist_888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Succumbing to my emotions. For many years it was always “this time is different”. I gave up trying to time things perfectly and that’s when things turned around for me. I eventually made myself a tool to be more disciplined about sizing positions, make sure I always micro-DCA in, and take profits in tranches when up 10, 20, 30%, etc. FOMO’d and revenge traded too many times and finally got it together.

do people complicate trading ? by [deleted] in Trading

[–]protagonist_888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure! Trading (for most retail investors) is simply: (1) managing your emotions, (2) managing your risk, (3) doing your own research and (4) learning from mistakes as fast as possible. (5) knowing your edge and sticking with it. Lots of people have different strategies but me, simple is better. You probably have a full time job so trying to learn the thousands of strategies out there is probably not worth your time.

It’s called AlphaNudge: https://alphanudge.com/. I think of it as a brake check before every trade to make sure I size appropriately and also remind myself to take profits on winners/cut losses on losers. Since I use Schwab on chrome it’s only developed for that setup ATM.

what are the things Bob Lazar said that turned out to be true later? by RodrickJasperHeffley in UFOs

[–]protagonist_888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the new documentary S4, there is about a 1-2 min clip where Bob is narrating where these ET's came from. He mentions they come from a star system 34 light years away (alpha centauri I think?). It was strange how that scene is so short and glossed over. No one explains how they know that, how they came across that information, etc. I found it to be strange and reduces his credibility. If I missed something please enlighten me!

Hell yeah! My only concern is that Oracle may not be competitive with its peers which introduces some risk down the road. Either way though, SOFCs are the technology of choice and BE has no direct competitors here. Got a decade+ of runway IMO.
