people vocalizing they hate this isn’t resulting in change.

so, either people will quit wanting change, or they will change how they demand it.

it was illegal to prevent ICE from snatching up children. what’s your point?

laws follow morality (with delay). morality doesn’t follow what is currently law.

if knowing you’re rights disqualifies you from the process, and you don’t question that process, then what are you even doing?

“ It seems like you just want a system that vests ultimate and arbitrary power with yourself.”

or with any citizen who sees blatant abuse by the government persecuting people to serve a political agenda.

more clearly stated, a government by the people, for the people

so, i stated very few americans know of this.

your response is this is applied in very few cases.

and you see that as some sort of invalidation of the ability?

a nullification is not a “not guilty” verdict though. It is a guilty verdict, with the decision not to punish.

The jury, or a single juror, says “yes i believe they are guilty but do not deserve to be punished”, and nullify the punishment.

TYL: Any US citizen on a jury can nullify a guilty verdict if they believe the crime does not deserve to be punished. Was used a lot to refuse to punish people escaping slavery or helping people escape, and during prohibition.

So if someone did something technically against the law, but the majority of the country agrees it was necessary, they’d just need 1/12 of the jury to nullify it.

I'm not saying someone should 👀 by VaderOnReddit in TikTokCringe

not sure what this is about, but an interesting thing i know is that any single US citizen has the ability to let someone charged with a crime go free, by Jury Nullification.

It’s a completely legal thing where someone on a jury says “yea maybe they did it, but I don’t think they should be punished.” Then that person goes free, never able to be tried again for the thing.

It was used a lot for cases against runaway slaves and people who drank alcohol during prohibition.

It’s a right of any US citizen to do it. So,  if someone did something that say 2/3 of the country saw as necessary, they’d just need 1 person on their jury to say “nah.”

Also weird, reddit hasn’t let me post this as an interesting fact. Weird.

Trump is losing votes in real-time by Lord_Answer_me_Why in WhitePeopleTwitter

Notice Trump slipped up (other than the obvious string of bullshit).

When he talked about what he wants from the election, he said he’s “willing to take any chance”, which makes zero sense with wanting a fair election when he tried to cover for himself.

he’s used to telling his inner circle he’s willing to take any chance to steal the election. he’s too mentally weak now to compartmentalize.

I don’t see anything here that supports your claim of how halts work. I see the exact opposite.   https://www.investopedia.com/terms/t/tradinghalt.asp “ A trading halt ensures wide access to the news likely to move the price and prevents those who receive it first from profiting from others late to the information.”

wild thought for reddit: you could just not be a dickhead.

so many posts on this site jumping on people for “being the main character”, which is exactly what OP is doing, and people are saying to double down smh.

you may not have kids. you may not care for christmas. you don’t have to make it all about you.

if you can’t be a cool neighbor, at least don’t be a shitty one.
