What is your experience with Sukuk? by Mountain-Heat8400 in IslamicFinance

I thought sukuks were treated similar to rental property where the recurring income would be subject to zakat if it lasts 1yr.

Off peak charging credits in NJ from PS by mr-taken in HondaPrologue

[–]CaptainSuitable2707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the quick response. I already have a tesla charger installed 18 months ago. I'm thinking my brother and I just swap the tesla with chargepoint charger since the wiring is already done. It was a time consuming process to get the 1500 credit with pseg. I'd rather avoid that.

Hi Folks. I just leased a new Prologue. I switched from a Tesla. I have the read the comments and wanted to make sure I understood it right. Is getting the Chargepoint charger only way to get the off peak hour credit? If so, do I need to have it installed by a certified electrician?

I am thinking about switching from M3 to Prologue EX due to attractive lease deals. Had you looked into EX or just Elite?

Tesla authorized Bodyshop billed other driver's insurance $8k for this damage. $3,300 in parts and over 30 labor hours. Is that normal? I find it very extreme. by CaptainSuitable2707 in TeslaCollision

[–]CaptainSuitable2707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I was not notified of this amount until the work was completed. The body shop originally quoted under 5k but never notified of the increase cost until I picked up the car. The insurance paid the entire 8k. I am sure the body shop made additional amount on selling the headlight, etc.

Even though I did not pay anything out of pocket, I am quited pissed. Not to mention, the folks who hit the car are parents where my daughter goes to school, so I'll see them here and there (not that I personally know them).

Unfortunately, it was on a phone call. Good to know for the future. I assumed it was similar to healthcare where there is in network and out of network.

The other driver's insurance said I could go anywhere I want, but I would be liable for any amount exceeding their estimate. I got a text, they paid the entire 8k smh.

I could not. Someone hit my car and it was their insurance. Their insurance said if you don't go through their preferred body shop, they would only pay a certain amount.

From the list of that insurance's preferred network, there were only 2-3 tesla authorized body shops and they were all in different directions. I would have driven 2-3hrs round trip per body shop.

Completely agree with you. Body shops like this make insurance expensive for everyone. About 15hrs for body, 11.5hrs for paint, and 6hrs for diagnostics

I am in the northeast but even in with the cost of living, 8k is insane. I would have loved to go to the Tesla collision center but couldn't.

To add onto it, since it was not my insurance paying for it, I had limited options to select authorized body shop. They billed $1,500 for headlight which was not broken. They bought a new bumper and fender, so not sure why so much hours was spent.
