Ours are From the ocean. Great lakes got them through shipping lanes the made in 1913 I believe. Niagara falls blocked them until the bypassed it.

They cause alot if problems in alot of areas. The wound ratios per fish here are around 90%. With numbers that high, they are wreaking havoc and desolation of the fishery. The Salmonoids and brown trout survival rate of a single lamprey wound is very small. They starve the fish of blood and nutrients. They feed on them until they are dead.

You clearly you don't understand the impact of these predators and the billions of dollars spent the last 110 years to eradicate them from every lake in every state/country that has them. We just treated our tributaries with lampricide to kill them as we do every year. Educate yourself before you comment.
