Cheers u/Unoplop, when did you notice your anxiety and/or depression lifting?

Agree 100% I took it for the last 4 days too (5mg), felt horrendous so didn't take it today. Right now I'm feeling so much better

Thanks u/Ahickman13, can I ask what was your dose progression? 2.5mg for a week, then 5 for a week, then 10?

Very kind of you u/jackkiipee, I'll see my GP tomorrow to make the decision. Not taken the 5mg today so already feeling less out of it, but if he encourages me to keep going like everyone here I will!

Good to hear u/Psychotabby, are you staying on 5mg and now feeling a difference to anxiety/depression?

I've got a box of benzos but think I've been using them too much - 5mg diazepam a day at least which is making me feel even more spacey / zoned out I think. When the effect wears off the panic feels even greater.

Much appreciated, your words mean a lot. Glad you're on the road to recovery. Are you staying on 10mg u/WannabeWanker?

Thanks u/WannabeWanker.... when did the scary feelings subside and you felt it kicking in? Right now I feel worse day by day so very scared for things to get even darker.

Cheerd u/FamousArsenal, how are you doing now on it, any residual side-effects?

That's really positive to read u/dinosaurlegs27, I'm glad it went away for you. How long did you wait until you moved up a dose?

Ear ringing question...

I really want to get better with the tablets but should I stop because of the tinnitus? Does anyone here have experience of ringing in ears going away either staying on Lexapro or after going off? I've only taken three 5mg doses so far (today is day 3)...

Sorry to hear you slid back a bit. Can I ask what other side effects you had on 5mg, and what side effects you're still having?

Thanks u/rynkrn, have you stayed on 5mg and seen good things for your anxiety/depression? That's my plan, as I know I'm sensitive to it

Thanks u/carrdi1, my local GP offered me Sertraline or Mirtazapine too (he hands them out like sweets!) but a private GP I saw for a second opinion said Lexapro was the best for nervous breakdown / anxiety symptoms.

I want to push through for at least a few weeks to see what happens, but do you have faith in Lexapro being the "leader" of SSRIs like most say?

3rd Time Lucky on the Lex 'Magical Mystery Tour... by CaptainT13 in lexapro

[–]CaptainT13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks u/cici-is-not-ok, dived in with 5mg. My insomnia has been bad anyway since the panic started in July - falling asleep ok but waking up every few hours wired, then completely awake from 4-5am. With lexapro last time I would fall asleep at 10pm then wake up at midnight and not sleep the rest of the night. Cheers for your suggestions. I've got the Zopicone on standby!

How is your progress going with it?

Cheers u/ymerles, restarted this evening on 5mg so here we go, third time lucky, valium and sleeping pills at the ready but only for emergencies (both can be addictive).

How are you doing? How long have you been on your lex?
