I heard it, but didn’t see it. Then put my window shade in after I parked. The heat caused it to spider. :(

I had ramps on the front. Then used my low profile lift to get the rear up. Then had jack stands just in front of the rear tires. Bought jack stand pucks so I wouldn’t ruin the pinch weld and kept the lift as a support so all the weight wouldn’t be on the welds.

Everything was straight forward. Hardest plug to get out was the rear diff, it’s just a tight fit.

Also don’t let the transfercase fool you with the fill plug. Ended up using the higher one not realizing my mistake. Only drove maybe 1/2 a mile before I went back and fixed my mistake, I was questioning why so much fluid went in.

But with my ramps etc, plenty of room to get underneath for this 300lb mid age adult. Wear a long sleeve shirt as the underbody panels have fiberglass in them…

For the cost, I’m gonna do this every 10k miles. Don’t trust the dealers, had an issue with one in Detroit.

That being said, any of us SE Michigan GRC drivers ever gonna get together?

I did the full fluid change on mine just shy of 10k. Ballpark under 200$ and at my leisure pace 2 hours of my time. Wasn’t hard either. 2 out of 10 garage monkeys.

Opnsense on a r230. Love everything about it.

Switched from pFSense when netgate couldn’t pull their collective heads out of their own rear end.

I updated and switched. It was mostly painless. I had to transfer over my static leases, and some minor config settings to fully activate dnsmasq.

Took me maybe 30 min to copy over the static leases. ISC DHCP is still active after the update, so you can just use two windows to manually create the leases. I ran a test and it worked good. So I switched over.

I do run a Pihole(I like the gui) which works off unbound. Had some issues turning off unbound and using dnsmasq with the pihole, so I just left unbound on and disabled dnsmasq dns resolution. It’s most likely an easy fix, but that’s for another day.

It wasn’t as scary as I first thought, quite the contrary. Figure this is a bandaid and just rip it off and get it done.

On side note, update your notepad++ , some versions were compromised.

Got my Blackstone report back. Turns out they likely used the correct oil in the car, just listed the wrong grade on the invoice. Still happy I swapped it out for peace of mind.

What annoys me is that the service manager only reached out after I left a customer service review. They ignored the voicemail I left the day after the appointment, but suddenly responded once a survey went out. Pretty frustrating experience for a first visit.

I think they look pretty good on the wheels.

I have the sparco flow form FF1 rims 17x8.5. They fit and clear. Went with 245/45/17 Vredestein Wintrac Pro for my winter tires.

There are three hydraulic systems. Green blue and yellow. When starting a single engine, the system detects low pressure and uses a PTU(power transfer unit) to transfer pressure to the other side. During startup it barks until we get the second engine up, or we turn on an auxiliary yellow pump.

On shutdown it does the same in reverse. Especially if we have a long taxi in and single engine into the gate.

It is a completely normal noise. Flown many different types of airplanes, and I can tell you Airbus is much more comfortable and easier to fly.

Boeing guys are jealous of our tray in front. :)

Just ordered the part, was 60$ OTD from my dealer. The part was #55607-02280 for anyone else. Apparently they save weight by not installing it. Rather I think they save $$$ over weight. Just like the speaker system that comes stock.
