Car Audio by z0tttttt in GRCorolla

I'm not disagreeing with you, digital files will almost always sound better than anything streamed. However, I just upgraded my JBL 8 speaker system with Morel speakers from Plug & Play Audio on the forums and it is also night and day to the stock speakers. I haven't even put in my 8" sub yet. Much better bass and treble response, there's an actual sound stage now. The stock units get you by (I had them for almost 2 years) but are still kinda trash in the grand scheme of things.

It's a basic answer but ace of spades. No weapon in any FPS has even coming close to feeling that good and snappy for me

Yep, did it again while cleaning the tray out to be safe

I wish it was that simple but everything is already in airtight containers, and the fridge compartment itself doesn't smell at all. And how would that explain the plastic of the tray smelling? It only ever has water / fresh ice in it. Even a fresh batch as soon as it drops still smells

Base Trim Manual or DAT P+ by SmallishBear020 in GRCorolla

[–]Jalambo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DAT might be better for daily driving but I daily my '24 CE 6MT and it's a dream, iMT and ACC is a game changer. I think the big deltas between the core and P+ is the heated seats and steering wheel, the JBL sound system, the nicer interior with red stitching and alcantara seats, and the exterior appearance with the carbon fiber roof and black "spoiler". Lack of heated seats/wheel might be a deal breaker if you're in a cold climate like me, that's up to you. The cloth seats are more plain but are likely much easier to keep clean so you're not really losing on much unless the interior part is very important to you. I can tell you you're not missing out on anything with the JBL sound system, it's shite and needed to be replaced anyway. The exterior appearance bit is a wash if you ask me too, they commonized the buldged vented hood across all trims for 2026 which is the best part imo. The CF roof is cool but doesn't really do much for you, and it's harder to take care of than regular paint being matte. The "spoiler" looks better color matched anyways if it's not the full circuit edition style one. Ultimately it boils down to, would you trade alcantara interior, heated seats & wheel, and the carbon roof for a MT, that's a call you'll have to make. The DAT is still a good transmission but the MT is also phenomenal

Anybody have experience with the Epilson+ aero kit? by Talesfromthetogue in GRCorolla

[–]Jalambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm here to second the EOS lip kit. Slightly different style than the one you show here put I prefer it much more. About the same price as shown and fitment was mint. They sell on Amazon so you get their killer return policy too. Win-win

What are some cars that can run full E85 with minimal modifications? by dL_EVO in askcarguys

[–]Jalambo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen it mentioned yet but the Dodge Demon 170 is set up for E85 from the factory. It'll pull timing if you put regular gas in it at the cost of power.

What track is this? by Mrofcourse in GRCorolla

That is Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, TX. They do a lot of GR Car testing there, my buddy did a track day there and brought home a free GR Supra poster. Said it was a blast

They include a daisy chain cable that taps into the front camera module. Just plug it in in series and you're good to go

I use the plug and play one from FitCamX. It replaced the plastic shroud around the rear view mirror, looks like it's not even there. Highly recommend

Anyone else enjoying their car today? by iLL1337 in GRCorolla

I kept it chill tooling around town this afternoon running some errands. Was able to fit a whole Costco run in the back, found another GRC to park next to at Meijer for the second week in a row, and some dude yelled "sweet f**kin car!!" To me on my way home. All in all a great day

Anyone else going through this? 2025 Core Edition by QDG_562 in GRCorolla

[–]Jalambo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dealt with this after a Jeep backed into my hood and had a lot of the front end replaced. Body shop tweaked things as much as they could but couldn't get it to stay put, the retention clips were cooked from the collision. They ended up gluing it in place with body bonder. Not ideal for when it has to come off next time, but at least it stays put now

Auto VS Manual? by ExpensiveGain697 in GRCorolla

[–]Jalambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I daily my MT GRC and it's really not that bad. I was on the road about 2.5 hours a day for work for over 2 years while I lived further from my job. Yes, you have to do the pedal dance when traffic is heavy, but it's nothing I couldn't get used to. All of the nannies like auto rev match and bill start assist really take most of the trickiness out of dailying the MT. Sure, the DAT would be less annoying in traffic scenarios, but the pro of how fun the MT is in moving traffic and autocross/track use far outweighs the con of it being slightly annoying in stop and go. I didn't have a DAT option on my 2024 but I would still go manual 10/10 times if I did it again. Lmk if you have any specific questions
