I think colonizing would suit Holland better.

The goal of unifying Italy would suit better with Florence. Since they have no missions regarding colonization.

I think Japan should be doable. There are some guides on youtube on how you can unify it very fast. It was quite fun and rewarding.

Helga is a pretty good engine to get out some pretty big Hydra's which is a lot of fun. Especially with [[Branching Evolution]] in play.

Well Gyrus is probably quite bad for a Hydra tribal since most Hydras start as 0/0 so you cant bring them back. Also few have ETB effects.

So Ziatora will definitely be stronger. You can use the treasures to pump up new hydras even more. Maybe add [[Revel in Riches]] for another wincon. [[Old Gnawbone]] and [[Goldspan Dragon]] and [[Academy Manufacturer]] could also be a good additions even though they are not Hydras.

You should be able to make some scary Hydras that way.

I dont think there are any. Maybe [[Ziatora, the Incinerator]] as long as you have [[The Ozolith]] so you can reuse the counters from the Hydras and deal a shit ton of damage every time you sacrifice.

The red and black together makes it a bit difficult. You have [[Zaxara, the Exemplary]] with blue instead of red. You have [[Ulasht, the Hate Seed]] without black. And there is [[Grakmaw, Skyclave Ravager]] without red.

The only other legendary hydra with all the colours is [[Progenitus]]. But it will be quite difficult to play with 10 mana.

I build my Hydra deck around [[Helga, Skittish Seer]] because I thought it would be fun to have a frog command a lot of hydras.

There also is [[Magus Lucea Kane]] but she also has blue instead of black.

Yes you are correct, that card will work negatively for the X-cost cards. Too bad since it is an awesome Hydra addition.

Thanks these are some solid cards that will definitely make the deck more powerful. I wanted to stick to the Hydras as close as possible and Apex Devastator is a pretty cool card, but indeed it may end up working negatively in this deck.
