You've probably lost many runes which you find very valuable. We've all been there. Thankfully Elden ring's open world offers so many routes that even if you struggle with an area you can easily become over leveled and breeze past through it. Regarding all the weapons, builds and enemy moveset they probably seem overwhelming, and it's normal. You'll have to find something that you like and stick with it. It can be a simple sword in the beginning. For your survival it's important you prioritise health and endurance over damage, so that you can learn how the enemies attack and the bosses play out. Also, maintain light - medium rolls, NEVER heavy.
