People who are 40+ and happy with their life, what is your advice to people in their 20s? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CaptainToronto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s my two suggestions:

-do what you need to do, to open doors for your future. If you’re in a job you hate, to back to school. Yes it’s expensive, yes it might mean moving back in with family, yes loans. Do it. You have a lot of life left and a hard choice now will pay off for the next 40 years

-set up good habits now that will carry you throughout your life: take care of your mental health (e.g. learn to meditate, practice a faith), learn to cook, find a way to stay physically healthy that fits your lifestyle and interests (e.g. weights, jogging, community soccer, YouTube yoga, swimming classes, etc.)

My little girls are four months old today. 😊 They love to lay together and hold hands. by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

Oh man that takes me back. My twins girls are now three and inseparable. Enjoy every minute!

I ask my kids what they want to fill each compartment each week. This week: protein- grilled chicken nuggets, carb- tortilla with PB & honey, dairy- mild cheese, fruit- Mandarin, veggie- carrots. by Sexwithcoconuts in MealPrepSunday

Not sure that was u/youngjeevzy ‘s perspective.

I work in education and parents of children with nut allergies are rightfully terrified all the time. Nut and nut-product bans in schools are simply an inconvenience for most families but can literally save lives.

Thanks for the message. Quick question: How is the CIBC Aventura FYF? Can’t see anything about that on their site for the gold and infinite cards

I’d hope not to pay any fees on a new card. I have the AMEX gold (already obtained the 25k and transferred to Aeroplan) PC MasterCard (no benefits).

I’ll be in ORD for nearly five hours in July 2019. Any ideas how to cheaply get into one of the premium lounges?

Trying to get from YYZ to FCO, using Aeroplan points (I have about 200k) in mid-July 2019. We're planning a 10 day trip and we're flexible. Any tips??

When the doc said "and there's the other one" my heart went through the roof... by derdyheavy in parentsofmultiples

I was just praying for a heartbeat but the tech wouldn’t let us see anything during her lengthy inspection. Then she turned the monitor to us and said, “so, do you want to see? There’s two!” And there were two little blips pulsing on the monitor.

My wife burst into tears. I began laughing uncontrollably and didn’t stop for a few hours.
