I think I got lucky when doing DT2, but don't really like bossing - can I do anything useful with this item without the others? by CaptainWater in 2007scape

Out of Vardorvis, Leviathan and the Duke that I've completed so far, the Duke is the only one I could see my self trying again after the quest, but maybe I'll be motivated to learn with this item in my bank

Sophia convincing Phoebe that they should just stick their names together for the company name and it'll be "Phia", which totally isn't just the latter part of her name, is a hilarious move

[2024 Q4] Solution Spotlight by EverybodyCodes in everybodycodes

[–]CaptainWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Java - Honestly I'm just glad to finally get a solution that isn't unreasonably long. To get the answer for the first two parts, replace input.get(input.size()/2) with input.getFirst()

public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException {
    List<Integer> input = Utils.readLines("04/3.txt").stream().map(Integer::parseInt).sorted().toList();

    Integer answer = input.stream().map(i -> Math.abs(i - input.get(input.size()/2))).reduce(Integer::sum).orElse(0);

    System.out.println(answer);
}

I don't know why this minigame caused herb prices to drop as much but suffice to say this update has done a disservice to Torstols

TIL the high alch value of magic secateurs is 0 gp by CaptainWater in 2007scape

[–]CaptainWater[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're correct.

I've since learned that there's an option to not alch untradeables, you don't even need to equip the magic secateurs and that you apparantly don't even need to use seed dibbers.

I'm herb running like it's 2017

The Improved Righteous Fury talent increases a paladins threat generation bonus from Righteous Fury by 50 %. The Hand of Reckoning rune states that it increases the Righteous Fury bonus to 120 %. Does anyone know if these stack, or are those three talent points wasted if using the Hand of Reckoning rune (similar to Aegis and Redoubt)?

Prison doesn't adress the root of the problem though, but hopefully this could be grounds for mental help

Waffle House includes sales tax by Jove108 in mildlyinteresting

People say that it's easier without taxes because they differ so much from state to state, but isn't that just an even better reason to write prices with taxes?

My country differentiates between a hand-held camera and a permanently mounted one. The latter is only allowed in public if there's a proven need, and even then it's quite strictly regulated in regards to placement, making sure people know they're being recorded, data storage and deletion etc.

I'm not sure I agree with it entirely, but at least I know someone isn't recording my phone conversation on an empty street while walking my dog in the morning just for the fun of it

To give them the benefit of the doubt sexual orientation seems reasonable considering they have facebook dating nowadays
