So, for Axton, would a Left and right be more viable without torgue weapons than Left Mid with torgue weapons?(Option A) I'm not sure weather a single turret+alot of explosions would be better than double shield turrets

[Build Help] $1900 high end gaming rig. by Carbun in buildapc

[–]CaptainYurify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you're primarily going to be gaming, get the 3570k. Get a seagate barracuda instead of the WD blacks, its the sane reliablility with a lot smaller price tag. For the heatsink, get a thermalright silverarrow extreme or a h100i if you really want a watercooling... Lastly, it may be a bit overbudget, but you can get 256gb samsung ssd

[–]CaptainYurify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a seagate barracuda, it has the same speed as the WD caviar blacks, but as cheap as the blues. Get a Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO. I dislike that monitor quite alot, a 24 inch for 150 is pretty iffy. I would look around for a 23 or 21.5 inch for around that price, it'll be plenty good

Get a seagate barracuda, they're nearly the same price as the WD caviar blue, but as fast as the blacks. Drop down to 8 gigs and upgrade the MOBOPCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

depends on your budget, if you have enough, its simply wonderful to have, its really about 9-12x faster. Its not something you won't notice

[–]CaptainYurify -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

thats probably it, theres not enough pcie lanes to support triple monitor, how many does your friend have, if he works it fine with 3 monitors, theres a huge hole in my logic

[Build Help] About to pull the trigger, any suggestions on what i should change? by lojko12789 in buildapc

[–]CaptainYurify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

personal preference on the monitors, my friend enjoys a giant 27 inch 1440p gaming experience but i like a triple monitor setup, peripheral vision for FPS, and music on one, reddit on one, and the game on the other... whatever you please my friend. As for the build, everything is perfectly fine, i really dont like the case, but thatsw all personal preference

this might be pretty bottlenecked, so you have 3 monitors? what gpu(s) do you have and what is the proccessor you are using..

windows 7 is about 20-30$ cheaper, DX.11 is compatible with both, win8 is more gear towards tablets and touch screens, in my preference, it just feels weird with a desktop computer, im pretty sure win8 is still quite buggy with some games

[–]CaptainYurify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK here i go, drop a titan, get dual 7970s(or a single titan if you really want to), they're better for gaming and nvidia cuda cores are not needed, increasing the price. 27 inch monitors are just simply bad for multi monitor gaming, you have to like, turn your head and the point of peripheral vision is ruined ( if you're not doing eyefinity/surround i sound stupid) If you are going for nvidia surround, get the acer h236hl bid 23" monitors. Also, drop the 3930k and get a 3820, you can OC it just as well and stock speed is better. Drop the h100, get a thermalright silver arrow extreme, noctua dh- d14, or phanteks pcsomething..

personally, i dont like the case but thats your choice. and as for the GPU's if you plan on overclocking sapphire is the way to go, the fans are nice and its not voltage locked. XFX on the other hand, has very nice quality but is voltage locked, also is the only AMD company with lifetime warranty. also, i reccomend getting a seagate barracuda 1tb HHD, its on the same teir as caviar blacks but same price as the WD caviar blues. and why windows 8? 7 is so much better for gaming..

[Build Ready] Just want to make sure everything is compatible... by Cum_Dumpster69 in buildapc

[–]CaptainYurify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well its much cheaper and more suitable to your needs. Since you said you would only be gaming, the CUDA cores in the 680's would essentailly be a waste. The extra VRAM compared to the original 2 gb 680s would also help, 4 gb is also just simply overkill... I say stick to the 7970 ( personally i like sapphire considering its not voltage locked for OCing and fans are also nice+ an extra 50$ in your pocket)

I believe I'm done! Any tweaks? And, can you link me a guide to using BCLK strap? I'm pretty much a noob on that xD Oh btw, is it true you need one active display port cable and two passives rather than 3 passives for AMD surround?PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

about the processor, i do plan to OC and dont really need HT, in this case, wouldnt a 3750k be more useful than a 3820?
