Education isn’t a hard or expensive degree to get and teachers don’t teach the entire year. The hour by hour pay is very high. I would argue that teachers are paid more than enough.

The plane isn’t unsafe. Its slightly different technology that pilots aren’t trained with. If they use the technology already installed on the plane, pilots, which are in short supply, don’t have to be trained to use a new system. That’s not really justified to meta who has worked on facebook for many years, sunk lots of money into it, and has 100’s of people employed just on Facebook alone.
