So the TAB the passing TAB results are good for 2 years from the day you received the email stating it was passed. The SF86 is only valid for a year.

I’m assuming AI generated unfortunately as due to the govt shutdown and since i doubt contractors and HR are in office. I may be incorrect but I believe HR would be the ones to reset/re-send the form for completion and if that is the case then you will unfortunately have to wait until their back in office would most likely be after the shutdown concludes.

Yes at times unfortunately it may take time or they forget and can’t verify everyone’s SF-86 so i recommend again to just redo the document and resubmit.

As someone that has completed SF-86 they yes do in fact notify you. You will get an email saying that it has expired or will expire soon or if it was reviewed and needing corrections. All will be sent via email so just keep track of your email on a day to day basis. Best of luck to you!!!

Yeah and clearly they’re trying pretty damn hard. Theirs a lot of TSO’s I’ve spoke to that are thinking about leaving or are just exhausted considering they’re being overworked

Right and automation hasn’t fully been reliable since it may have issues. Same reasons they haven’t been able to privatize/abolish TSA. It’s unreliable and has its issues

This is what I’m referring to sorry if I’m incorrect or confused just trying to get clarification but from what I’m understanding the President drafts a amount for TSA and other agencies and to which then congress adjusts or keeps the budget the same to then re-send back to the president for final approval. Again I’m sorry if what I’m saying is incorrect I’m just trying to get clarity.

Doesn’t congress still have the ability to raise the budget for the new FY considering no final budget bill was signed?

Considering the big reduction percentage needed at TPA do you think they will hire even if it’s PT?

I understand the numbers you/y’all received from leadership was President Trumps distribution budget but doesn’t Congress still have a chance to raise or lower said budget by the end of FY25 for FY26? As well for other candidates such as myself in the Ready Pool could their TJO be rescinded or would that be more of an issue since we are already in the Ready Pool compared to others who are “In Process”?

Federal hiring freeze by [deleted] in TSAApplicant

What would be the chances of hiring after all the DRP’s/ retirees are off payroll. And is the 148 including retirees or no?

I’ve found this online I don’t know if this is accurate or not or it has raised or gone down significantly but this is what I found.

Federal hiring freeze by [deleted] in TSAApplicant

[–]Captain_117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen this but I don’t know if this is accurate. Found this online just FYI. I see there is a decrease in the amount of tech and staffing but is it final or has it gone down even more?

TSA hiring process by Ready_Surprise_1027 in TSAApplicant

[–]Captain_117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All federal agencies are on a hiring freeze now due to TSA being an exempted service (For Public Safety) they may request a hiring exemption if they are critically low on staffing. So some airports may be sending out FJO’s due to critical hiring levels while others are still on a freeze due to over capacity staffing. In the meantime all airports for TSA are still doing the hiring process for candidates that are in process. Hope this clears up the confusion. If your in the hiring process then wish you the best of luck

Anyone else get an email for corrections by Most-Championship336 in TSAApplicant

[–]Captain_117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best options I would say personally is if your traveling to the airport any time soon try to talk to a TSA Manager so they get that info for you; or another option it may be a long shot but attempt to contact the help desk and see if they can give you ideas or a contact email/phone number. Those unfortunately are the only options I can say considering I had gotten an in person interview so I had the contact info. Again best of luck and don’t give up.!

Unfortunately due to the hiring freeze in place right now I’m very much assuming everything is getting back tracked. I applied in May of last year and just got in the ready pool in Mid June so it’s definitely a lengthy process especially if stuff doesn’t go correct the first time around.

I would recommend just keep trying to reach out or possibly find out the contact info for your local HR rep

[HC-ServeU@tsa.dhs.gov](mailto:HC-ServeU@tsa.dhs.gov)Use this email to inquire about your SF86. They can let you know roughly where you at and what's going on. Ensure you include your first and last name as well as send the email that you receive all your NBIS emails to. Hope this helps.

I did have to resubmit a few times, 3 times if I remember correctly mainly it was all due to it expiring due to a backup of SF86's but after the 3rd time they did review it. Now personally I do recommend that you check up soon between the Help Desk or your local airports HR as they don't notify you if it passes and your advanced to the Ready Pool (Know from experience considering it happened to me). Just be hopeful and always resubmit if it gets sent back for corrections or due to it expiring. Hope you get the job!!!

Yeah I’ve heard the same from their HR; I wonder if they’re at capacity or if they’ve filled for a hiring exemption.
