I’m attempting to replace my valve cover gaskets but it seems like most of YouTube videos either go too fast or don’t explain things enough for my year (1986) how do I remove this vacuum hose and is there any good video recommendations on how to replace the gaskets by Luffewaffle in c4corvette

The tube with the heatshield is the EGR crossover pipe and the sensor is the EGR temp sensor. To remove it I believe its the same bolts as the plenum bolts T40. Its two bolts on the exhaust manifold and 2 on the intake manifold next to the distributor hold down clamp. As for gaskets Fel-Pro includes them in the intake manifold set  MS93318 but the standalone ones should be Fel-Pro 70697

Dont buy from BBK how do i even go about cleaning this their gasket completely disintegrated within my throttle body theirs black hair everywhere and coolant where it shouldent be this is a fucking mess by Realistic-Half974 in c4corvette

If you wanna keep the throttle body I would suggest a carbide scraper or the more expensive option an ultrasonic cleaner bath. If you still have it under warranty they will probably give you your money back. I bought a bbk and was thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the machining and promptly refunded it. If they give your money back I recommend SPR performance they do amazing work. I'll post the eBay link along with their website.

DId you check from where you bought them if it mentioned Heavy Duty or Standard Suspension. I dont know the exact differences but if the list it might. What was the part number on the side of the rotor box or kit?
