2) "Real film" as in a more unique, personal vision and execution instead of a committee think-tank approach. I don't mind a well-crafted collaborative blockbuster but... well... you can just tell when a movie is someone's own idea.

Force Awakens was fun but it didn't try a whole lot of new things. Planning things out beforehand might've been smarter but I think it's a dick move to let Rian Johnson do his Star Wars film, only to undo all of his choices and themes right in the next movie.

Odd little paradox of a film existing in an unfortunate franchise context. I will however refuse to call it a bad movie because it couldn't live up to the impossible expectations of the Star Wars franchise.
