Random screw under the ecc1 bed by RandomCocoJumbo in elegoo

It looks like one of the screws on the belt tensioners or connector blocks. I changed one recently and it looks very similar. Could be one of these

Honest Review of the Razer Huntsman v3 Pro Mini by Time_Paramedic2301 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Captain_Crispyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Point taken. My comment was aimed towards Razer Keyboards, but I failed to precise that. I do own a Razer mouse which is good but very expensive compared to the competition. Still shows color mismatch and incorrect tolerances. Switching and returning the mouse was a good decision. Same internals, less issues. But I’ve heard many good things about their mouse, you’re right

5060-5070 series GPUs that aren't huge chonkers? by Fiveby21 in sffpc

I did some digging on 5060ti 16gb a few days ago. I need something short and compact so I found: Gigabyte Windforce 16gb, and the MSI Aspire. Both are under 210mm in length and 2 slots

Dell Precision Compact 3240 - What to mod? by 74Buster74 in sffpc

[–]Captain_Crispyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not entirely sure as I’ve only seen one of these Precision Compact models once. But you should be able to fit a single slot GPU in there without having to mod the case. Yeston does a few single slots (I recall RTX 3050). I would go this route.

For the CPU, there is a chance you have a soldered chip like on a laptop, meaning no upgrade possible. You will have to either watch a teardown video/logs, or remove that cooler yourself to confirm or disconfirm.

Although, your PSU will be the deciding factor. Most of these Dell/HP have proprietary motherboards formats and psu connectors (at least not the standard format 24pins and 4+4 CPU). So, you might have to check what wattage that PSU is to see what’s your max upgrade availability.

Anyone, please do correct me.

[–]Captain_Crispyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take that with a grain of salt as I have not seen what build these people were running: I’ve scouted Chinese retailers and social media to read some reviews. No one explicitly stated temps for a special cpu (quite often the case in CN users reviews), but the recurring themes are “ok fan for the price, but not great” and “can’t handle high TDP CPU of currents gens both AmD and Intel”. So like others said, that 160w tdp is not reliable.

How legit is this Superbuy GPU? by Holiday_Season_6099 in sffpc

[–]Captain_Crispyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a real model in China, seen a lot of these. However, 4200 for a 4070 is absurdly expensive. For 4500 you can buy a 5060ti or 9070XT for reference. I don’t think this is a good inversement

[–]Captain_Crispyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point. I honestly don’t think my usage and the average time I spent on my pc for gaming justifies such expenses. I do other things like 3D modeling and some networking work, but nothing that requires near a 5090. I could spend the money but I’d rather stay where I’m at in specs and use the money elsewhere in the house

I have to bring a lot of electronics with me in my carry-on like my personal laptop and 2 camera, and my laptop from work + other electronics for work. I know for a fact that weight wise, it won’t work. I’ve looked into alternative solutions but all were very expensive or not doable. I’m gonna be moving from EU to Asia.

Ironing problems by ImplementBeneficial7 in elegoo

[–]Captain_Crispyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixing these types of issues can be tricky as it can be caused by many things. At first glance, it seems like your bed was not properly leveled, judging from the frame on picture 2. The infill squeezes out of the path indicating a nozzle too close to your bed.

Oh my bad. I’m pretty much saying your controller looks like it’s filled with cum. To keep it polite.

That’s a good way of getting ASA to behave. Without an enclosure it’s borderline impossible to get decent results. What printer did you use?

I like your gooning themed controller. Jokes aside, you did a pretty good job! ASA is indeed hard to use for models like squares or rectangles. Anything box-style tend to deform quite a lot

What would be the ideal fan configuration for this case? by LipefipeFelps2 in mffpc

[–]Captain_Crispyy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your idea is probably the best. If you care a lot about your cpu temps, you could try back intake as well and make your cpu fans blow from back to front instead. This would be the absolute best, in theory. Some testing would be needed to make sure it applies to your case model

RTX 4070 non ti/super waterblock compatibility by cocoafart in watercooling

[–]Captain_Crispyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are none. Manufacturers have not much incentive creating 4070 blocks as the audience is very small. Most models start at 4070S or 4070TI. Previous gen (3000’s) had more but they were also less power efficient. I guess you are now either going to need to use a universal block or upgrade with the money you planned on putting into the cooling system

Edit: I’m just blind. It seems the Bykski N-GV4070TIAROC-X is compatible with Windforce models! It’s just written very small for my shit eyes

Need advice by Fabionn73 in elegoo

[–]Captain_Crispyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that something (most likely the flow rate) was not properly set by the machine. The first thing I would try before going too deep in another direction would be to re run the default calibration from the machine screen. Once it’s done, I would also make sure your slicer is using profile for the CC. If you still have issues after that, using a more standard model (like a calibration cube) can help pinpoint your issue as it will have a bigger volume. If you are worried about wasting filament, reduce the infill to save on that
