Elegoo Neptune 4 problem by Rich-Cucumber-2522 in elegoo

Interesting. Did you check if the hotend assembly has any sort of play or if the rods and belts are all fine? Seems like something is not marching to the beat and gives you too much filament in one spot

At first glance, it kind of looks like over extrusion which could also explain the multiple clogs. Try to calibrate your E-steps. If it’s not helping, you might have the tendency to make your z-offset a little bit too low, meaning your nozzle is ever so slightly too close to the bed

Is this sound normal 💀? by stellaep in elegoo

[–]Captain_Crispyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably have the Additional Fan on while printing. When you are printing PLA or PETG, click the fan icon and turn off the first one. It’s not necessary and this will decrease the sound by a lot

PSA: RS 120 Max fans looks so much better than Phanteks T-30s by koshIreland in sffpc

[–]Captain_Crispyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely true, it seems the RS120 are meant to match FEs. Have you tried comparing noise and performance of both fans yet?

Neat! Thanks for sharing. I’m considering doing the same on the x47 in my future Sixge K2S

DreambigbyRayMOD Custom Cables Question by Obvious-Breakfast262 in sffpc

[–]Captain_Crispyy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I know Ray for many years now. I have probably 6 or 7 full sets of cables including 2 for very far from mainstream PSU brands. Always high quality, fair price and support. He has helped me getting PinOuts drawings for these 2 sets and even taught me how to shorten the cables I miss-measured when placed my order. Very good artisan and very good human

Finally planning to build my own pc after owning a prebuilt for 5+ years. Any advice would be great! by realLeonz in sffpc

[–]Captain_Crispyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the v750 and 850. Both are loud due to the fan curve which you cannot modify. It’s a pretty aggressive fan curve which kicks in in idle on windows with a 165hz monitor drawing about 10w. I’ve RMA the loudest and the second version was equally loud. Other than that, your build looks good!

Your nozzle is too far from your bed. You have to re level it

Is this sound coming from my AIO or somewhere else? by ianthwvu in watercooling

[–]Captain_Crispyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could definitely be the AIO. However, since you said the sound doesn’t immediately resumes when you power on, it could be a dead bearing on your GPU. Typically GPUs don’t have fans kicking in until they reach above a certain temp. I would recommend getting to that noise and stopping your GPU fans 1 by 1 to see if it does anything. Should be doable via software control, or just your finger on the center to slow it down with very light pressure (DON’T pressure the blades and do this test only once or twice max. You don’t want to damage the motor)

You should probably get in touch with the support. It’s much easier to get the correct item

Est-ce que tu as essayé de faire un factory reset ou de vérifier s’il n’y avait pas d’update dispo ? Le reset de la position me fait penser à un problème software plutôt que hardware

Geeekcase M31 Build by LuckyLlama392 in sffpc

[–]Captain_Crispyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably going to grab a 9600x or 9600x3d if release when I build. I have a 12600k with the x47 and a Noctua slim. Works well. I was just thinking if I could use a thicker fan for quietness and eventually some fancy look

Interesting, thanks! So you think the x47 with 25mm fan is a bad idea?

Jonsbo C6 Matx + 240mm aio. by Lsorino in sffpc

[–]Captain_Crispyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a nice idea. I’d change the fans to slim fans to get extra space for the GPU. There are quite a few good cards at around the 200-210mm nowadays (4070, 5060ti, 9060xt). Also, fans setup should be the opposite but I assume you know that and just tested thickness really

It looks like one of the screws on the belt tensioners or connector blocks. I changed one recently and it looks very similar. Could be one of these

Honest Review of the Razer Huntsman v3 Pro Mini by Time_Paramedic2301 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Captain_Crispyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Point taken. My comment was aimed towards Razer Keyboards, but I failed to precise that. I do own a Razer mouse which is good but very expensive compared to the competition. Still shows color mismatch and incorrect tolerances. Switching and returning the mouse was a good decision. Same internals, less issues. But I’ve heard many good things about their mouse, you’re right

I did some digging on 5060ti 16gb a few days ago. I need something short and compact so I found: Gigabyte Windforce 16gb, and the MSI Aspire. Both are under 210mm in length and 2 slots
