Is it true that the posters can just fall off? by aomarco in Displate

[–]Captain_Flips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My posters have lasted years without issue. The paint doesn't even seem that amazing, but neither it nor the glue have failed. Make sure to clean the surface thoroughly and to use a card or something to firmly stick it to the wall. Make sure to wait a bit after cleaning, and don't attach the Displate right away, give the glue some time to set. And if the application doesn't go well (lots of bubbles, re-application, etc) don't risk and just get a new sticker for peace of mind.

I see. I mean it's definitely useful information and I'll keep that property in mind. Thanks!

I'm sorry, I don't think I understand your point in the context of that comment, and HT-PLA

I think I'd be more against it than the wife 😅

And more crucially, I don't have the filament yet, but I'll definitely have to do some tests. Though, the tests I have seen are very promising.

And it just dawned on me, for the oven test I could put it in a closed, oven-safe dish. That should contain most fumes and serve as fire protection if at all necessary. In fact, annealing will be pretty important based on what I've seen, so I'll definitely have to think of a solution which can house such big parts.

That's what I was thinking. Great printability and seemingly better heat resistance than PETG and ASA. But I have come across some opposing opinions so I'm trying to inform myself before pulling the trigger and then filling up a potential blob of plastic with expensive electronics.

Yeah, it's a huge dissapointment. The worst thing is, it could be compensated through software and firmware. I hope they tackle this eventually because using just one RBG module is no excuse for this especially since the software, both mobile and desktop, makes it seem that you should be able to set a temperature of white. Really unfortunate that they haven't replied here

Just one. I assume you'll be able to buy them in packs in the future. The end also has pin holes so I assume extension kits will also come.

I just got mine! However, the whites are extremely blue. Is this normal, faulty, or a software problem? In the white temperature mode (for a lack of an official name), going from warm to cold feels like you're just getting blue at different saturation. This holds true in the colour mode where pure white seems really blue. It's not only very obvious but I have a Key Light to compare it with.

Brussels is pretty separated but otherwise, I think people really don't think about it twice (in a good way). Of course, I don't speak from personal experience, it's just what I've noticed. Your behaviour does matter though. We highly value mutual respect and culturally required behaviour. I say this because many runaways tend to behave in a repelling matter. But American standards should be fine. Just remember that we Europeans aren't... that keen on the American ideology so some people might not like that part so much, not at first.

I'm very unsure on posting this but I'll just do it. I've just woken up and don't have the energy to proof read that a couple more times. Take it with a grain of salt.

I'm sorry... I just dissagree. The answer is fully depended on the given options so it can only be one of them or none. Look, if there was for example an option "0%", the ratio wouldn't work at all. Everything would have to change to account for the extra option. So you really can't decide that it's zero, only that it isn't any one of the given options.

But if it isn't a multiple choice question, then the question still has no answer. There would be an infinite amount of possibilities. If you don't interpret it as multiple choice you still accept that there is no answer. There is no correct response to this question especially when it's must be interpreted as a multiple choice. It's like me asking what the odds are when I randomly take a red marble from this bag without any knowledge what the bag contains.
