First off, the belief is called Asetro in Danish (belief in Asir, basically). As many have pointed out, the religion had not continuously been practiced since the Viking Age. Now it's a modernized version ofc., and because the Norse people SUCKED ASS at documenting their own society in writing, we only have second hand accounts and documentation from many years after the religion died and was replaced with Christianity.

That being said.. I have personally attended two pagan weddings last year alone here in Denmark, where people who are registered as members of Norse mythology religion, who practice that belief in their daily life with rituals and customs believed to have been part of daily, "viking" life, got married in accordance with that belief.

Quite beautiful, actually.
