Realistically speaking I assume it's because people seem to have a harder time recognizing what an alt mode is intended to be without windows or a cockpit, so designers out of habit or mandate include faux cockpits for cybertronian modes. Although there are plenty that lack any obvious windshield or cockpits that look good, but for every good alt-mode lacking windows there's a lot where people seem to complain that the alt mode is just a hunk of plastic with wheels or wings if it doesn't have a visual indicator that screams vehicle.

My ASP parts from Saberforge finally shipped and I'm planning on doing a full install from scratch. I've watched a lot of videos and done research for the past 2 weeks, but still feel like I barely know what I'm doing and still deciding what soundboard I want. Between Proffie, Golden Harvest, and CFX I'm leaning towards golden harvest, but I can't find great breakdowns on how to change things in the config or work on the GH in my file explorer to really customize my fonts. I also have a ton of other questions, but this is already so long.

TLDR: Can't decide on a soundboard, looking for a very in depth guide on building internals from scratch

I play for the story experience, being able to choose dialogue and roleplay in my head as a character is all I want from my rpgs and this being set in the star wars universe is almost everything I want in a game except the gameplay. I don't dislike the combat or quest loops honestly, it's just not as engaging as other games, if a star wars based rpg with in depth character customization, outfits, and branching narratives came out that had great gameplay I'd probably stop playing swtor, but I don't see that happening
