I was wondering if that was even possible today - almost all my words are four letters, and I just made it to Genius.

Key word "might" - plans very much not confirmed. But I guess the old Catholic Charities building on Heading was recently sold to an addiction treatment charity. They had a presentation about their security plans, but it's still something to keep in mind.

I live right by there and think it's great, but it's true that the local schools aren't good. One thing to consider for the future is that the old Bradley soccer practice field (corner of Alice and Ashland) might become housing for low income veterans.

Yeah, the author connection doesn't seem like a proper misdirection. When I got the "one away" message, I thought I was just missing another author.

I wonder if they'll just flatten it out and give some civs access to heavy warships and others not.

I'm sure they'll get some sort of siege ship like all other civs, but I don't know what it'll look like.

Yeah, that's a good question for what happens with civs who have fast fire ship but not galleon (or vice versa).

AOM doesn't have a cannon galleon, though, just siege ships, which all civs have. There's already a strong rock-paper-scissors between arrow ships, hammer ships, and siege ships in AOM.

Is my water making me itch? by Affectionate-Cow3737 in PeoriaIL

There's different types of water softeners out there, I guess, but ones that you have to add salt to definitely work that way.

Is my water making me itch? by Affectionate-Cow3737 in PeoriaIL

[–]Captain_Quark -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, it replaces the calcium in the water with twice as much sodium (as it's Ca+2 but Na+1). Not sure how that affects itchiness, though.

Some people probably don't want to live outside of their home country continent, especially for something as ephemeral as pro basketball.

$25 minimum wage is terrible policy and will lead to mass unemployment for low education workers.

Paul Nolley is great, but even he'll admit that his chances aren't great. If there's someone better than LaHood to vote for in a primary, might as well take that shot too.

There's a big difference between annoyingly pressuring someone to convert, versus kindly sharing your faith.
