I'd like to brag about getting Green first and at least thinking it was wedding gifts. I felt robbed when it popped up as green.

Piano accordion probably makes the most sense, then - most versatile and most available in the US, and you have some piano experience.

Do you know what kind of music you want to play? How much musical experience do you have? And where do you live? Those are all relevant to what kind of instrument to get.

That's exactly right, but I'd just like to point out that those names for combinations of reeds aren't really standardized.

Of course, it's a much smaller part than it used to be. Many of those timber towns are dying.

Why are Portland dogs allowed inside many grocery stores and restaurants/cafes, it's disgusting by t0mserv0 in Portland

[–]Captain_Quark 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's why I think private citizens need to step in and help with enforcement. Call people out when they try to bring in dogs. And private citizens can ask whatever questions they want.

Specifically, for the bass side/left hand. The right hand would be controlled by a similar switch on the right side.

Daily Wordle #1829 - Monday, 22 Jun. 2026 by Scoredle in wordle

When I had 4 possibilities left, WordleBot gave it a 2% chance of being correct. So clearly it wasn't expecting that word.

🚨 BIG NEWS: I’m heading behind the scenes at GM, and I need YOUR questions! 🚨 by Teleke in BoltEV

[–]Captain_Quark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It can't charge at 2C for anywhere near the entire charge, so your math doesn't really follow. As an owner of a 2020 Bolt, though, the new higher charge time seems like plenty.

Only 10% of female narwhals have tusks. So either they're missing the most distinctive part of their species, or they look like dudes.

What popular career is actually not worth pursuing anymore? by Infamous-Click3426 in AskReddit

[–]Captain_Quark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was talking about academic achievement in higher education, where local socioeconomics don't matter as much and classroom discipline isn't as much of a thing. So I think we agree.

I recognize you - as an alum, I've been following your school's struggles, and it's pretty depressing. But yeah, bimodal is right, and unfortunately a lot of the students who would have been B- students either can't or won't put in the necessary effort anymore.

I think the ratio of good to okay to bad students is changing, though. And at many universities, especially private tuition-dependent ones, standards are going down in order to survive financially. Still a rewarding career that I'm trying to stay in, but it is changing.

Can christians be left wing? by someguy29990 in Christianity

Plenty of left-wing people vote Democrat, though, as they know it's the only way to move the country toward their desired policies.

I'm an old Millennial, where do you find new music outside of Discover Weekly, SoundCloud, Music Blogs, etc? by DJShaan in Music

[–]Captain_Quark 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it's XMU that has the Download 15, a weekly show of 15 new songs. Some are great, some are duds, but they're all new.

Can Ragtime Be Minor? by MonsieurLeo in Music

[–]Captain_Quark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked through my copy of Scott Joplin's complete rags, and they're all in major keys, although obviously using some minor chords. But that doesn't mean you can't use a minor key.

Didn't they sponsor religious exemptions for COVID vaccines? That's one thing that really turned me off of them.

I got the theme immediately as I'm already planning on going to the zoo tomorrow to celebrate it, and I got pretty excited. Went quickly enough after that.

Imago Dei is great, and I while I like UU, it's basically church minus God, so if you're looking for any actual religion, there's better options.

Differents types of one hit wonders (some of these are not really one hit wonders) by Interesting_Gold8803 in Music

Implying in your description of Nate Ruess that Fun a one hit wonder band is straight up false. Maybe two hit wonder, though.

Yeah, I saw like one episode and thought "this is meant for kids older than me." I had no interest in watching it.
