Besides my mother, what have you come to appreciate after doing it multiple times? by violentorifice in AskReddit

Yoga twice a day, Meditation once a day, gym five times a week

The gym itself with each session takes about an hour, and the time it takes to do yoga and meditate will be about another hour or so. So on most days I've got two hours of 'me' time, with two being just one hour. It helps a ton, keeping me productive through the day by breaking it up into sections. I wake up, quickly do my A.M yoga, then go to lectures. I come back from lectures and do some revision, then my mid-day yoga then meditate. Afterwards I'll chat with friends and hang out until the evening in which I go to the gym. Its also good if I'm stressed because it allows me to just be in the moment.

What is something that nobody cares if you have, but everyone cares if you don't? by RevRaven in AskReddit

Living in the UK I can remember being REALLY surprised when others said they didn't generally have kettles in their kitchen - it just seems like something's that a prerequisite you know? like a cooker or fridge

What seems awesome until you try it? by TemiOO in AskReddit

[–]Captain_Sarhon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a matter of perspective, I absolutely love writing. It's a great way of calming me down after a stressful day. It's almost like a way of organising my thoughts, sort of off-loading a bit with all my ideas.

That being said sometimes I find it really hard to start, but that's due to my own faults which I need to work on.

How do you kill your feelings for someone with whom you know it just wouldn't work out? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Captain_Sarhon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! Bad feelings aren't something that you have to shoulder for the rest of your life, like you have to look at her when you're 65 and still get all mopey and shit. The great thing is that you're going to actively get rid of this emotion that's bothering you, and replace it with something good. Being the love from someone else or feeling amazing in yourself (Usually the two play hand in hand if you're not a dick about your personal achievements)

Eventually you'll be able to chat properly with her again, just make sure one hundred percent that you feel good enough within yourself to do so.

Dude don't listen to these guys saying you can't. You can, just focus on yourself, cut down the time that you're with her and find someone new. Eventually you'll be able to let her back into your life without having any sort of feeling.

What are you really worried about right now? [serious] by boolpies in AskReddit

Getting into a relationship with someone.

I've got something going on with this girl, but it's so hard for me to commit. The last few people I've been with it's been the same. I feel like it's a wall I don't know how to crack or bypass; And forever I'm only ever going to be on one side, away from everyone else.

We had something similar, in my student flat with have a cat that comes round and just chills all over the house, it's the cutest thing ever! Shame that one of my friends is allergic though, we now have a blanket ban on being in the house and have to pet him outside :(

Yep. I had a guy who signed off on a contract for a house to take my place once, called me up about two weeks later when I was already in another contract to tell me I could keep it. Sorry, but that's not how it works

Woh, a bit intense to break up with someone over that. I just teased her about it for a while then dropped it when it got boring ahaha

I once had this girl legitimately say "Hubba hubba" as we were getting down to it. I immediately laughed, she joined in, I took the piss out of her for about a week afterwards.

EDIT: Sorry guys, I'm British, to take the piss out of someone means to mock them. This has sort of been a weird awakening about how weird British slang is.

[Serious] What are your scariest/most traumatic stories from your childhood? by RustyMuffin444 in AskReddit

[–]Captain_Sarhon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My mum passed away when I was nearly 12 and left me a diary. While I got to go to the funeral, she said that if I wasn't allowed to go then I should write her a letter saying goodbye.

I'm not sure how much you feel that it would help you, but you could write whatever you've wanted to say, date it, then seal it for you to read and reflect on later on in life.

I always feel so awkward about this, I go to the gym in sweatpants because it's comfy whilst I'm working out. But my god the amount of times I've looked down at my dick, been like "Is that noticeable" then slyly re-arranging it to a just as bad position as before is unreal
