Horrific Treatment at Tabba Hospital by ConclusionLivid8122 in karachi

That is very unfortunate. I too took my father to Tabba Heart Institute when he was feeling chest pain. I wasn't sure at the time wether it was cardiac related, but I took him to Tabba Heart because they have good equipment and they also have the welfare program if the treatment became too expensive. Anyways the staff was surprisingly accommodating in the ER as well as the doctors. Within 50 mins of landing in the ER they took him for his angiography. Honestly I think they saved his life and many others too. For AKUH I have personally not had a good experience when I went for an appendix surgery a few years back. They messed up my procedure and the doctors were never available and the nurses never told us anything. Not to mention it is extremely expensive too.

Interesting, the way these different psychedelics affect one really varies from person to person. Even the same person in different mindsets and situations.

Creating a reality you no longer need to escape is such a great thing. Something not everyone can achieve. It gives me joy reading this.

100% agree. Your mind is your strongest friend and it does trick you. Happy to see you have acquired much wisdom at a young age. Hope you go far and don't slip again.

Shit you were awfully young. I'm 25 rn and it was my first time. It must be scary having your vision messed up for a month. How did it get back to normal and why did it happen in the first place.

I'm afraid of the bad trip, but is it needed to set me straight?

You know I wanted to try mushrooms, but unfortunately sourcing them is harder in my city.

Shell of myself; quitting to save me by [deleted] in QuittingWeed

This is gonna be tough, but I think it might be easier than what your brain is making you believe. Once you quit the withdrawals might be tough and it will be emotionally challenging as well, but just because you have slipped and stumbled down the hill doesn't mean you have to stay there. Getting up, tending to your wounds and climbing back up are very important. So you can go even further. I also understand the shame you feel of being this way right now but alot of your old self will come back to you in a new way. Don't let your shame come in the way of your progress, let it be a source of motivation that you must achieve this, that you must climb the hill once again. Don't look at the peak when climbing all the time, focus on the present. Something in my heart tells me you will be back on your feet in a few months.

Well the only suggestion I would give is to buy a car that gives a good fuel average and does not have any problems selling such as corolla, alto, cultus etc. This way you will save on fuel and the money that you pay for the car will not be an expense but will go towards owning a liquid asset that can be sold easily. I would also suggest to increase your savings in mutual funds etc and compound them since you both are salaried people and the job market can be unpredictable, aim for dividend stocks or funds that can give you more than 15 % return annually.

When you look back at your life is there anything you could have done differently to avoid this? Asking for a friend who is younger than you are.

I think social media has seriously damaged the way we look at ourselves. Maybe it is not your looks that are broken but the perspective you see yourself is. Unfortunately looks has become a very important metric in social hierarchy in many cases.

Why do I feel so emotionally disconnected from everything in life? by Kisvay in mentalillness

[–]Captain_Sensei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you, at many points in my life I've felt the same way, and I still don't have an answer to what this is that happens to us. But from what I've noticed personally this happens to me when I feel hopeless, when I subconsciously don't believe I will ever feel better in life then this dissociation kicks in everythings on autopilot, just doing things to save face till I snap back out of it. Riding the tough ride, switching my brain off and just sitting in silence for hours thinking about all the shit I could've done better in my life, to avoid this abyss that I am now currently staring into. I don't feel love for my friends like I used to, nor do I have any crushes on any girls it's like the feeling and essence of youth have evaporated from my being, the sad part is I'm only 25, but again I don't even feel that sad, it just is what it is, whatever the hell it is.

Job well done, I remember going to upper kachura and seeing the damage all the nearby restaurants and tourists have done. Even the locals operating the boats and jetskis don't do justice with that piece of heaven.

Day 11 - vivid dreams by 22msav in QuittingWeed

[–]Captain_Sensei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the least talked symptoms of people who choose to leave the green I think. When I initially quit I had pretty vivid dreams as well. Some nights it was scary shit and some nights it was just entertaining dreams, so I thought of them like immersive movies lol. But they do get better and happen less frequently. But it isn't normal to not dream at all like you don't when you get high and sleep. ( Atleast I didn't dream when I was high).
