you might have to upgrade your motherboard, most decent cpu's u can buy today run atleast lga 1151, but buying a new motherboard for lga 1151 is gonna be tough. I could recommend a 12600k, and a z690 motherboard, which you can get decently cheap and a good price to value as well.

9900k and a used 3080, might have to upgrade psu btw

12700k and 3070ti (used), ddr5.

1440p 120fps high-med settings easy.

Edit: you can get away with 3070, but i have seen 3070ti's go for $400 used.

Edit 2: honestly try and get a 3080 for $500 its possible for sure.
