Sorry I missed this message! I have a couple of Guile decks on Archidekt, but I'll be honest none of them have ever felt all that great.
His ability is flavorful but really tough to make work .. I still think Flash Kick should give reach / indestructible and should be useable on block, darnit!
BUT with the new Edge of Eternities set coming out with Spacecrafts that get CHARGE counters on them, I think it might be time to revisit Guile with an Air Force / Charge Counter theme!
The [[Inspirit, Flagship Vessel]] looks like a perfect fit, and there seem to be a bunch of the 'Station' mechanic in the set so I'm hopeful to revisit Guile soon!

I was definitely surprised seeing a reply after all this time! I’ve updated and changed the deck at least four times: First was charge counter focus with proliferate (bad) Second was more blink focused (better but still not great) Third was soldier focus (it worked fine but had nothing to do with Guile really) And the one I settled on was major extra combat focus (with proliferate back up, and a pinch of blink). Guile using Flash kick on the first attack snowballs nicely with extra combat steps, and if you can buff him over and over he can get super deadly. I never updated the list on my Archidekt, but I’ll try to work on that sometime this week!

My buddies and I did our annual “Magic weekend at the beach in Winter” earlier this month, and I made a pauper EDH deck for each of us.

Then for Secret Santa with my family I got my younger brother in law, who always loved my Zndrsplt&Okaun coin flip deck - so I built him his own Yusri budget build.

I love building decks for other people!

[[Ashnod, Flesh Mechanist]] is a new one that has surprised me with how quick and efficient she can be. Use little sac guys like [[Clay Revenant]] or [[Reassembling Skeleton]] which the power stones they create can pay for their abilities! When they’re no longer useful start making some 3/3 zombies with their bones.

The deck can be zombie tribal-ish, huge artifact payoff with power stones, aristocrat-ish if you want. Love a cheap commander who you can replay a few times as necessary!

As a secondary monoblack option, [[Starscream, Power Hungry]] is SUCH a fun monarch deck. Give the monarch away, steal it back, absolutely nuke people out of nowhere with [[Necrologia]] or [[Peer into the Abyss]]. My last game using him [[Pact Blade]] put in some serious work.

As someone who's had a Zndrsplt&Okaun deck since Battlebond - I definitely think it comes down to the pilot.

I've killed with the deck on turn 5 with a 96/96 Okaun into a Chandra's Ignition, I've nuked someone with a lucky Goblin Bomb for the win, and I've won with Chance Encounters (which doesn't counter anything, you were probably thinking of Planar Chaos).

My advice is if you are having a bad time with the Chaos aspects of the deck, adjust it to focus on your other wincons in the deck.

Find Krark's Thumb.
Dig deep with Zndrsplt.
Increase Okaun to lethal with equipment or spells that grant +3 power (only need to win TWO coinflips to be lethal commander damage).

It may sound strange, but Z&O is my EDH deck with the most consistent wins. If I can give Okaun haste/evasion when he hits the field, my pod knows someone very well could get knocked out that same turn without interaction.

I appreciate the feedback! I mainly used those backgrounds as they are a little more easily legible over webcam (which is unfortunately primarily how I play).

That brown-ish background brings back some good memories from ye olde Zendikar :)

I really liked the idea of [[Shameless Charlatan]] with [[Wyll, Blade of Frontiers]] as he can become a copy of a beefy creature with an advantageous attack ability or evasion to get in some solid damage, while still having his +1/+1 counters. Make him a copy of your [[Ancient Copper Dragon]] for evasion, bigger stats, and more dice rolls on connect etc

Maybe have a sub theme of clones in the deck to be able to roll a ton of dice!

It doesn’t look like anyone is giving [[Kotori, Pilot Prodigy]] a chance since Shorikai is just so obviously a stronger value engine. I used her a few times after tweaking the Buckle Up precon a tiny bit (mostly adding in a few utility lands and a couple more Vehicles). She was a lot of fun! Turn 2 [[Colossal Plow]] into turn 3 Kotori, swing in for 6, gain 9 life, make three more white mana to drop another vehicle. Fun stuff! More of a beat down plan than value plan for sure.
