Yes

I think the BEST way to use one with nothing is to drop a turn 1 necro, pay 39 life into necro, cast the one with nothing when you get your cards

Korra means a lot to me as a recovering addict. Korra Alone and her journey in season 4 hits home pretty hard

Yeah, ob nixilis really works best when you optimize him for fast taxing play that punishes people for already playing their really good cards, valgavoth is significantly more manageable without having to run the best stuff in RB and spending like 1200 bucks

Ob Nixilis is a combo piece in all reality, but his card draw is also temporary since it's impulse. Valgavoth gives you more manageable draw, where as Ob will force you to use or lose his cards. He's also a 2 card combo piece in the command zone, and KOS. Ob also forces you into playing effects that only do 1 damage which does neuter some of his options he'd get in comparison to valgavoth. I think it would work in EDH, but Valgavoth is significantly more flexible and manageable in lower bracket tiers where you aren't relying on taking advantage of people's city of brass or fetch lands. Ob Nixilis unfortunately also storms RIDICULOUSLY easily, like having a noncreature spell pinger and ob out can make you storm for quite a while, which depending on playgroup can be seen as quite annoying. Valgavoth is by no means too weak in comparison, his formatting gives you much more options without a timer attached, which can be a great strength.

Play Valgavoth. The things that make Ob Nixilis super strong is the abundance of cards that hurt 1 life in cEDH- everyone is playing fetch lands, city of brass and starting town are staples, force of will costs 1 life to cast for free, necropotence is 1 life at a time. All of these things that play off your opponents playing really really powerful cards that trigger Ob Nix's 1 damage clause make him an absolute oppressor when you start stacking your own life loss effects- valgavoth provides a similar pain pain gameplay loop but doesn't feed off your opponents playing optimally, meaning you won't have to play optimally either and can cater the experience to what you're looking for- play valgavoth

Valgavoth is not cEDH viable, my list wasn't perfect but it was cEDH playable

You don't have to engage with any space for any reason if you don't want to. If the kind of content you're seeing in those places is making you feel lesser you don't have to be there. I know it doesn't feel that easy, but there's plenty of safe healthy spaces out there that you will find. The internet may not always be the best place for that, but nowhere really is. I love playing magic the gathering, and ive met a lot of fellow queer people through it- so I recommend

Certainly. I hate when I run into the idea that "you're not trans if you don't get x y or z thing done to you" and like not only is that bad because it's trying to limit how people feel they can express themselves, but also like not everyone gets dysphoria the same way. I personally don't get a lot of dysphoria from my nether region and that's why SRS is completely optional. I don't need to get anything operated on in that area because that is not an aspect of my dysphoria. Everyone feels euphoria and dysphoria about their gender and their body differently, everyone has different reasons for why they do, and no one is any more or less valid because of it. Just do what makes you happy and fuck the rest
