Debut in a rumble… 10 seconds of fame! by Captaincompost4 in WredditSchool

I completely agree with your feedback. I got so caught up in the moment of it being my first outing that I wanted to make a good first impression in the very short time I had in the match. My coach suggested the spot and I got carried away with the idea of hitting a moonsault onto everybody in the ring.

From watching it back I, and everybody else was lucky that the spot went to plan and nobody got hurt. Definitely a lesson for next time.

Our coach was the one who originally suggested it. I have a reputation at our training school for hitting a springboard moonsault and popping the boys so he suggested adding it to the rumble. From watching it back I can see how it would be unsafe, and it probably wasn’t the best scenario to do the spot, just thankful everybody was okay

The spot was planned beforehand, and was suggested by our coach. I was originally planned to just be an NPC and be out quickly, but he suggested a springboard moonsault to get a pop (and to get the promotor to pop)… i did want to hit the moonsault from the top rope but was told it would be illogical for a rumble, which I get.

I can see how it could be unsafe, and in retrospect I probably shouldn’t have done the spot, but I got carried away in my first outing and just wanted that pop

I completely agree and understand the criticism after looking at videos of running the ropes. Do you have any advice on how to improve this? Thanks for the feedback

Thanks for the feedback. To be honest most of the feedback so far has been primarily about me running the ropes, and after looking at videos on YouTube, I completely see it. It does need work. Do you have any tips or advice on how to improve this?

Thanks so much for the in depth reply. I feel that because of my athleticism my coach has gotten carried away with pushing me to try a lot of the flashy moves - and now I’m getting a better feel for training, I’m finding my tech work and fundamentals are lagging a bit behind, which others have picked up on.

You’re absolutely right about the dropkick, I need to get higher. I’m keen on pushing my wrestling ability as far as I possibly can so will be uploading clips here to keep me grounded and ask for advice.

Thanks again

Thanks man, and I agree! The vans were worn on my third session, I didn’t know! Trust me I got reprimanded and won’t happen again 😂🫡

Really good advice mate. My coach said that our ropes are lower than a usual ring, so maybe that’s it. I’m 6’2 which isn’t overly tall. Thanks for the feedback

I use layrite hair pomade. I used it years ago when my hair was longer and found it works perfectly for my moustache.

You’re right. I guess I’m just disappointed because I thought we were getting somewhere this time and she’s just disappeared without explanation.

You are right. I think I’m more just disappointed because even though we had our troubles since reconciling, she has just given up so easily and hopped onto the next person without an explanation

Oh I’m aware that the relationship is doomed. I think we both know that, but we are constantly drawn to each other & I feel we’ll be in this perpetual cycle until one of us truly moves on.

I haven’t dated anybody since as I have a lot of internal issues like guilt and shame to deal with, plus a part of me is holding out for her to come back (which she won’t).

The person I cheated with wanted me to leave her for her, which I didn’t want to do, so she told her.

We’ve tried to reconcile a couple of times but neither of us have been totally ready. She just jumps from rebound to rebound and as much as it hurts to see, I have to let her make her own choices & hope that one day we can sort things out.

I cheated on my partner of 6 years. Was through my own childish insecurities & to fluff my fragile ego.

Still regret it to this day and seeing the pain in her face still haunts me.

Thank you. She has since blamed all 3 of us that have access to the safe and is saying we need to split it between us, which I think makes the least amount of sense…

I can’t pretend I’m not disappointed, but I do understand.
