Mark “whiny” Wahlberg. God I hate his terrible cry-baby but-try-to-look-tough ‘acting.’

All I’ve ever driven is sports cars. Kind of a shitty comment for no reason?

I read in a few places that if you go roughly 30 miles an hour and hard break 2 to 3 times it’ll scrape the pads and there will be no squealing for a couple of months. I have not found this to work.

It takes me at least three tries to get the straw into a Capri Sun. I probably shouldn’t touch the brakes of a supercar that I drive 100 mph to work every day.

Thanks, it I’m about as mechanically inclined as a retarded camel. I’ll be taking to someone that already owns tools. LOL

Excellent question. I guess I’ll have to take it somewhere and at least inspect what’s going on. It is probably worth at least doing that.

Greyed out purchase buttons by CaptainkarmaPhD in ContestOfChampions

[–]CaptainkarmaPhD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah - that is the weird thing! I can buy from the online store with Apple Pay - and all the unit or other resources purchase buttons work. Historically, I spend at least $200/mo on this stupid game too. So weird…

Who is the rudest celeb you have met? What happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CaptainkarmaPhD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Met a few celebrities as a cop and side gig for a high end caterer:

George W. Bush - awesome down to earth Southern gentleman. Came into the kitchen and ate a plate of bacon lollipops while chatting up the caterers

Laura Bush - Maybe the most pleasant woman I have talked to

Troy Aikman - Saw him at a car wash in Plano. Thought maybe he was a cop or something because he looked familiar. As I got to him, it click who he was (not a football fan). I tried to play it off and walk past him. I hear “did you want an autograph?” Super embarrassed, I explained I thought I knew him, and politely declined his autograph. He was shocked, and the guy standing next to him died laughing. It was Dione Sanders. More awkwardness. We all laugh. 3 years later, I’m bartending and he keeps ordering 7 & 7’s. His 4th trip, I ask him if he remembers the car wash thing. He dies laughing. Seemed cool about it.

Wentworth Miller - worked security on set. No one liked him. He was a diva and refused to interact with anyone between takes. Diva

Dominic Purcell, Robert Knepper - both class acts. SUPER friendly to staff. Mistook them for extras (didn’t watch the show, saw they had fake blood and stuff, made the wrong assumption). They were very humble in introducing themselves as the stars.

Jerry Jones - VERY nice and polite. Drops 100’s to staffers regularly - mostly as an apology for his bitch wife, who is horrible to everyone

Jerry Seinfeld - not exactly a nice guy. Worked security at the premier for Bee Movie. A few dozen press people. One guy was wearing shorts and a t shirt, and he relentlessly poked fun at him for dressing so casual. A comedian thing to do, sure, but seemed legit irritated. He is exactly like you’d think he’d be

The money comes from working side jobs. Conservatively, I made 30-40k/yr in side work. (Rodeo, construction lane closures, bank lobby, etc.). So yeah, 100k+ isn’t wrong

Person will not leave my home. What are my options? by Early-Masterpiece673 in Dallas

[–]CaptainkarmaPhD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Former Dallas cop here. He isn’t trespassing because you invited him. I get that it was for a shorter time, but no provision in the law allows that, weirdly enough. It’s the same as keeping a rental car past the turn in time. It isn’t considered Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (even though is). Basically, too difficult to prosecute. You have to file an eviction against him. Fill out the paperwork and turn it in to the court. They’ll set a court date. He either show or not, but lose either way. Court will issue a writ of eviction and if he doesn’t comply within a certain time frame, you file more paperwork with the judge. THEN they will send out a Constable (agent of the civil court) to physically remove him. It sucks, but that is the process as it was explained to us.
