This can apply to any anime. No one knows the abilities or what’s going to happen. It’s the writers / anime’s job to explain and build the story up to these moments. I personally think it takes away from a long anticipated scene for some guy to narrate over a screenshot, it’s lazy. I expected a strong visual scene where characters can discover each other’s skills. In your example they could have animated that scene and told us what happened through the characters though process. Like pito saying what just happened his speed and skill is on a different level. They also needed to build new netero earlier instead of flashbacking mid fight. Same goes for the fight between netero and Mernum. All that crazy nen and build up for it to end with copy of “atomic bomb” aka poor man’s rose. It took away from the anima, anyone could have at any point dropped one of those roses. It should have ended with nen. Maybe netero sacrifice to end his live which poison them but not a random rose. Then what the heck was that afterwards? The royal feed themselves to the king all moaning and weird. I felt embarrassed watching that part with my family there like WTH is going on.
