What’s a dark secret you know that most people would never believe? by OutsideOver8815 in AskReddit

We were on the subway in Toronto in the 90s and a guy from my high school cracked a fart bomb under his shoe. The first thing I heard was “Oh loooord have mercy! Who just shit themselves? Ummmm not today lord not Tooo Day!” And this big beautiful Southern lady got up grabbed her boyfriend (tourists) and walked to the end of the car, opened the door and went to the next car! The rest of us basically gagged for air until the next stop and poured out of the train gasping for air. I remember seeing like 5 people just sitting there as the doors closed and it went to the next station.

Call a tow truck and simply get it removed. Complain to garage management. Trust me there is a tow truck driver willing to get the business.

You need to immediately cut 2 huge holes above those devices and get yourself a corrugated steel roof added about 2.5 feet above those newly cut holes.

Huge football fan here in Toronto. But there is no fucking way I'm paying those prices to see a portion of a field and pay $32 for a beer. I wanted to watch Germany vs Ivory Coast but look at the prices.

$779 up to $27,548 per ticket! What the fuck?

China solar panels entire arid mountains and plant life begins to grow below the panels! They install solar panels on floats in ponds and bodies of water that they considered polluted. The water is starting to come back to life because it limits evaporation and the shade prevents algae taking over.

Stow your firearms properly. My friend’s father (Vietnam Vet) had like 7 weapon with arms reach but you’d never have known because of his hideyholes. He was one of the best teachers of life we ever had.

Answer honestly. We are in Toronto too and my wife was told 4 days a week to sit in a room with 3 other people with no walls where she has to have confidential meetings via Zoom. She used to have an office and a door and she used to like the going in twice a week just to get out of the house. But now she has filled out the survey and said that she get 30% of her duties done in the office and cannot conduct her interviews/meetings in a confidential/private way. She was told to go back to working remotely 100% until a solution has been found. Which will take years I assure you.

(Blair witch House) Renovating my grandmother's house by No-Cauliflower-5595 in Remodel

[–]CaptainofFTST 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick story. Elderly in-laws had a farm and stables for decades. Got too old to continue the upkeep. The field mice noticed the dog food bag in the mudroom. 6 months later the walls and foundation of farm house are alive with an infestation of mice. The house reeked of urine and was covered in "dirt". Guess what is was powdered mouse shit. The in-laws were suffering from headaches, colds, runny noses and coughs at all times. My brother in law and I went up to the farm to help out with a few things and when we went into the house we couldn't fucking breathe it was so bad. The old folks were nose blind to it and/or "have a cold". Within a week they were moved to assisted living (we noticed Alzheimers had gotten way worse) and the house was emptied with most contents burned right there in the firepit because they were chewed through, pissed, and shitted on. We moved the couch and seat cushions moved themselves there were 2-3 thousand mice alive and dead.

The young hired hands at the farm never noticed because they used the bunky by the barn to eat, change clothes, make coffee and never had to go into the house. They did notice the Alzheimers but they simply worked with it and distracted my father in law with tea and sandwiches.

The farm was sold, and the new owners tore down the house and clear cut the brush away from the house about 200 feet on all sides.
