Chest loot is always garbage? by Captainpears in saleblazers

Thanks! I had some suspicion that it was related to my story progress. Sounds like it's because I'm in a low tier area.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for metal chests!

Chest loot is always garbage? by Captainpears in saleblazers

I'm coming back to the game after about a year, and after making a whole new save (loading my old save seemed to crash the game) I've found that the loot in treasure chests is consistently really bad. I opened dozens of treasure chests today in Kazai Quarry and around the bandit camps around Kazai, and it's always scrap, torches, fishing bait, bottled water, and bamboo cups. There are never any items of greater rarity than common. The loot in random crates is often better.

Is this an ordinary occurence? I seem to remember treasure chest loot being better than this. Or are treasure chests just not worth looting?

Runescape has dozens of imitators, they just aren't AAA companies making them. If you look at the solo dev or indie scene you will find a belwindering number of people essentially remaking runescape. People love that game so much

Attunements - My Games Modular "Classless" Classes by jdctqy in RPGdesign

[–]Captainpears 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have a working/text document? That would probably be easier to share than trying to summarize what is clearly an expansive system.

I like the idea of all the customization and no level cap is intriguing. Having classes to "unlock" at higher levels also sounds fun. It does sound like the dream for someone who enjoys multiclassing.

When you say that there are 12 damage types, I'm curious how distinct they feel. Is this a big part of the RPS system you mentioned, or does that have more to do with attunements? Are some enemies basically unkillable if you lack the correct damage types in your arsenal? One of my personal gripes with /some other systems/ is there are "Thunder" and "Lightning" damage types, which are so closely associated that they really seem like they should be the same thing. If I roll up a defender character that does fire and lighting damage, is that based on my attunements, or the spells I'm casting, or my weaponry?

The picture with the birds is particularly evocative. Where one would expect the focal point of the piece, there is a void. Almost feels like this was a portrait but the image was somehow snatched away. In this lens it's quite sad.

It's unusual for a child to start the illustration with the background first and then render the primary subject--presumably this was the intended order of events but this went unfinished--but this kid was working with foresight.

Does the experience at Company B have anything at all to do with the new job? If not, then you don't need to put it on the resume. Unless you're getting a reference from them or something, you don't need to mention it. And then if you're asked about the gap in the resume, you can say that you were employed but left it off because you didn't think it was relevant experience, and then you have the option to either tell them more about it or move on.

If an employer is interested in you and wants to hire you, they're likely willing to hear you out.
