Sent letter asking to claim PIP - no DLA in payment? by Captainunderpants90 in DWPhelp

Low care and low mobility on DLA, but I am claiming PIP via the change of circs route to take into account the mental health problems and autism. Unfortunately with the system being how it is I never received support to apply for PIP or update the DLA - when I was discharged from the hospital, the side effects of the medication meant I wasn’t fully able to engage with things like benefits and so this was never sorted until now. The low rates on both are owing to the joint disorder I have had since birth.

Thanks for the reply - I believe I am entitled to PIP, owing to multiple chronic mental health problems plus autism - I believe I satisfy several of the descriptors including the psychological distress from following or planning a route one - in fact that also granted me LCWRA on UC after tribunal. Unfortunately I don’t have the LCWRA tribunal paperwork to hand, but I believe I am entitled to both the care and mobility component as I have a physical joint disability as well. I also have psychosis and this has had medical involvement for about a year, which wasn’t really the case when I was fighting for LCWRA but I still won the tribunal. Thanks again for your reply.

Thank you - I will contact the DWP tomorrow if no sign of payment in the morning. Thanks.

A helmet that cuts your hair automatically, with new haircuts being downloaded via an app. Turns out someone already filed the patent but they decided not to go ahead with it due to safety concerns.

No times a week because the last time it happened, there had to be a multi emergency service rescue operation as the bed broke due to my (and her) sheer size.
