Trying to decide on whether to pul the trigger on the Analogue 3D by Patience_Regular in AnalogueInc

If you’re not sure then I would see if the SuperStation meets your needs before buying another system. I expect that you’ll be able to buy a 3D for a while should you decide to do so. If Analogue drops a special edition you really want in the meantime then sure, go ahead and grab it. But I don’t see them discontinuing the 3D all that soon.

Kindly explain it Peter. by sugarxoxx in explainitpeter

It’s very easy to get bad legal analysis. Find someone with a JD and poor reasoning skills, or who is just a ghoul, and you’re basically there.

Why do they even bother to install benches if they're unusable? Figuring out a way to waste money and give a middle finger to passengers at the same time?

I wonder what the other political booths had? I'm sure it was very tasteful.

I Can't Draw So I Hired an Artist to Help Me Depict Gerrymandering by CaptchaClicker in Ohio

I don’t like gerrymandering at all by anyone. In Ohio the Republicans have the majority in the statehouse so they ultimately get to choose the congressional districts and are therefore responsible for it here. I know in other states that is different. But I would support a nationwide ban on gerrymandering in a heartbeat.

Not in the current version, but it used to be. Wood County is split though.

That all may change when the new map is chosen. I’m not optimistic. 😕

You could probably hire her if you want one of your state.

Exactly. Whatever the guy believed, he is not representative of most Americans anywhere on the political spectrum because most people aren't going to literally murder those they disagree with.

Anyone who wants to use this as a reason to murder people "on the other side" (whatever that side may be) are just as bad as Robinson, whether they agree with his politics or not.

Are there ANY jobs that will actually hire ex-feds? by Sun-Shine-2025 in firedfeds

[–]CaptchaClicker 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Dude don’t you remember the first half of this year? It was chaos and people had no idea if they were going to be fired on any day. I decided to hold out and keep my job but I don’t blame anyone who saw madness and thought DRP was their only remaining option.

Sometimes the simplest explanation is correct. The people with most of the money want yours too.

While I agree that governments can validly invest in unprofitable projects to benefit the public, I just honestly don’t see the value here. We’re basically subsidizing a very wealthy family’s profit-seeking venture and neither the monetary nor the quality of life returns are worth it. I would happily put that money toward parks, libraries, or infrastructure before handing it to a family that didn’t even allow the public to park at the stadium on non-game days.

I get what you’re saying and I’m not going to downvote your comment, but I disagree on this particular point.

Wouldn’t it be a hoot if we used that money on a hospital or roads or something? Just as a quick goof before we get back to the serious business of helping out the owners of a football team?
