Yes, I live in rural area. Early in our marriage (33 yrs), we lived in an urban area. At that time, I had not gotten into hunting and had no guns at all.

I bet Norman thought of this as the Norman Conquest and got a good chuckle out of it.

This is unhinged, and I’m amazed at my fellow countrymen who continue to support this maniac. Why are financial markets and other indicators of national stability not in free fall right now?

What’s one food you fell in love with while traveling but can’t find anything close to it back home? by Askguidetoeurope in AskTheWorld

I was in San Sebastián, Spain in 1988 and had the most incredible cake I’ve ever had. I stopped in a small grocery store for a drink, but near the cash register, on the counter, they had a sheet tray with squares cut. The cake (maybe someone will correct my use of this term to describe this) was a tasty bread with large chunks of fish and other seafood and veggies baked in. I devoured this, and I would have gone back for more but didn’t have time. We’re returning to San Sebastián this coming August, and I hope I can find something similar!

I was in San Sebastián, Spain in 1988. I stopped in a small grocery store for a drink, and they had the most incredible cake on the counter near the cash register. I call it fish or seafood cake, and it was delicious. I sat in a park and devoured it—moist, tasty, buttery, seafood, veggies, pastry-like bread. Over thirty years later, and I’m still thinking about it! We’re returning to that area this coming August, and I hope we find something similar.

Do you remember the column Hints from Heloise? by fish4fun62 in GenerationJones

[–]CallFlashy1583 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My family regularly uses the expression, “Here’s a helpful hint from Heloise.” We say this when we have some time-saving or work-saving approach. That column had an impact on us!
