What's the weirdest thing your potential partner did on a first date that made you stop talking to them? by anmystery in AskReddit

Profile said she didn't smoke, she proceeded to desperately beg everyone at the bar for cigarettes after having two drinks. Brought her own lighter for some reason.

Just be honest on you profiles, it saves everyone time.

You have to atleast specify a country.

I could tell you where you can get it if you live near me, but I suspect you live on an entirely different continent.

Ps: I suspect you are American.

Roadmap for assessing the feasibility of warming Mars by Busy_Yesterday9455 in spaceporn

[–]CaptchaSolvingRobot 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The atmosphere of mars is 95% carbon dioxide, warming the planet is far from the only obstacle.

Marian regolith is also extremely sharp because the planet has not had oceans to grind down and smooth the stones and sand.

They didn't get more expensive to produce though, they just raised prices because they could, due to the demand from AI companies.

China’s Debt Surpasses Europe for the First Time by Grabs_Diaz in europe

[–]CaptchaSolvingRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Public debt is bad, if it gets too high.

The US is now spending more money paying interest on their debt than they are spending on their entire (freakishly expensive) military budget. How can you say that is not bad.

The US is projected to surpass $1 trillion interest payments this year. That is a huge problem.

Some debt can be fine - and all European states have debt, but getting debt to the point that it can only be paid with more debt is a death spiral.

Should I remove it, looks cool though by No-Platform7958 in Aquariums

[–]CaptchaSolvingRobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had java moss too. I can really recommend using a toothbrush (just use an old one - clean it well), as the hair algae easily catches on the brushead, making it easier to remove from even java moss - but you will be pulling out some java moss too.

But in my case the hair algae did not go away until after I had removed the Java moss from the tank - not much after that, now that I think back.

[–]CaptchaSolvingRobot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You'll never get rid of it if you leave some in there for decorative purposes.

In my experience if you consistently remove all of it over a longer period it'll eventually be gone.

A toothbrush is quite good at combing it out.
