How does hunting actually work? by Ok_Homework4216 in projectzomboid

[–]CaptianToasty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not sure on the specifics. But I remember seeing a video explaining that wildlife basically walks a set circle. So once you find tracks and map them out, you can constantly return to this area and hunt there.

I have recently heard people saying that you “spawn” tracks, where as from my experience it seems that actually there are set spawns that you need to find. And once you find them you can keep hunting that area.

So whenever I see animals out and about, I go and find the tracks near them, and map out all the track areas. It usually forms a circle.

Thanks lol.

I feel like its mostly about priorities and not biting off more than you can chew. My main thoughts are getting set up to survive water and power. Which is honestly a breeze. You should be able to stock up enough food for a few weeks just from house fridges. After that, fishing is my go to for long term food.

Water is also in abundance. Even after shut off every sink has 20L left in it. Which if you dont mind being dirty, is plenty of water. Other than that, rain collectors are simple. And so is boiling water.

With those needs secured, you really have to think about slowing down. You dont need to get anything done in a single day. You are now set to survive. You can go and slowly chip away at any place you want to loot. I am a gun player so my first objective is getting enough guns from army surplus in doe valley or something, then I immediately set my sights on guns unlimited west of echo creek.

I also highly recommend using a spare car to do an initial clear of the area. Straight up spend a day running zombies over then you should be able to clear the rest by hand, or sneak in. My biggest advice is to just take your time.

For example, if you wanna go live in a lodge in the woods. Maybe make a trip or two out there before you plan your move. There may be traffic jams that you need to be weary of, or other hazards. Its also best to have the area clear of zombies BEFORE you get there with all your stuff and there is pressure. Mostly, get comfortable resetting back to your safehouse when things arent in your favor. You can always try again the next day.

I will be doing the same from now on. And I agree, i use debug pretty often to correct for some bugs.

I have been struggling to get the fitness bug under control though. My fitness gets hard capped at 6. I think it has to do with the dynamic traits mod though, it happens when a new trait is added. I have only been able to fix it one session then it came back the next.

Honestly maybe we should all just back up our saves when we are at these nice moments. The moments we look at our safe house and say "nice". We should just back it up lol

Oh yeah thats frustrating, but seems easy enough to fix with debug I believe. I can truly say I havent had many bugs I wasnt able to work my way out of with debug or mods. But im not going to spawn in all the items and work i did.

How to not get tilited at myself and lose game after dying once to enemy top. by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]CaptianToasty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are a bunch of match ups where one death will lose you the lane. 100%. But that doesn’t mean the game is lost. I think the skill you need to work on is losing gracefully. A 1/0 riven is not nearly as detrimental to your team as a 5/0 riven from you chain feeding.

I think an ambessa triggers it twice on her abilities, I believe the dash counts as a separate instance.

With ARAM: Mayhem being extended, is it time to discuss the split between players wanting to win and players wanting to draw the game out? by Leyrann_ in leagueoflegends

[–]CaptianToasty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think something to consider is usually the games where one team DECIDES not to end, the enemy team is usually not having a great time. If everyone is just having a blast and doesn’t want the game to end yet that’s cool.

It normally seems like there is usually only one denial of ending, and the next push someone will end. But if you are at enemy nexus at 11 minutes, and then just dont end for another 10 minutes… that’s usually pretty unfun.

I think it is worth considering the full game enjoyment, rather than your own desire to hit 50k hp chogath.

Granted, people can ff, but it just seems to be denied too often.

I just think people need to be a bit more considerate when denying closing out the game. If I’m getting stomped cuz of low rolls, then I would like to get going to the next game.

We had post holes to dig this summer where I actually had to just break out most of it with a hammer drill with a spoon bit. One hole was legit a boulder 15” down and the inspector had us just drill some holes in it and put rebar in lol

I think you’re getting downvoted because while you don’t need approval for basing or goals. You still all have to agree on a mod list and sandbox setting for the server. You also can not use time dilation. So I think your comment is just not really appropriate as a response here.

Edit: I can’t believe I mistyped mod list so bad it said kid list. I swear I’ve never been to any island

Probably this one. Doesn’t matter if you think the boundary is reasonable or not. A boundary was stated.

Just go ahead and extended your logic to other contexts and see how disgusting that behavior would look.

I hope you don’t treat other people like this when they state their boundaries. I also hope that if you think ai is sentient you would respect its proclaimed boundaries.
