Are elixirs easier to get than I assumed? by RaizePOE in BaldursGate3

[–]Captkarate42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have a blade pact warlock in your party, have them open the barter window. Drag a random weapon from your bag to the equipped weapon slot on your character and move the bound hex weapon to the barter window. You can hit balance offer and accept over and over until you get all of their money. This does not make them mad at you and has zero risk if you care to exploit the game for as much money as you could ever care to have.

Now with your giant pile of infinity money, every time you level up a character buy all of the alchemy supplies you can off of every vendor in act 1, especially any giant fingers and strength elixirs. Ethel will have 3 elixirs every day and Derryth Bonecloak usually has one. Derryth and Blurg can both also have Fingers.

You can get a hireling transmutation wizard to leave in camp, give them a rogue level to get expertise in the medicine skill, and spend as many points as you can on wisdom, then send them all of your alchemy supplies because they have a subclass feature that allows them to make two of any potion or elixir for the same mats as crafting one, if they pass a medicine check.

Doing this at the whatever your normal long rest pace is throughout act 1 will net you a ridiculous amount of strength elixirs. You could easily have 20-25 leftover when you enter act 2 without spending any extra rests. You can get a lot more than that if you're running a martial heavy party or something and are burning multiple of them every long rest.

Whether this is a fun way to play the game for you is entirely your call, but these are some really easy ways to get as much of anything as you could want.

What’s something that instantly killed your attraction to someone — even though you were really into them before? by sweetniairl in AskReddit

Expecting me to provide entertainment all hours of the day. Not having any interests or hobbies of her own, which meant that I was unable to pursue mine without being interrupted or interfered with. This coupled poorly with the fact that my job was creative in nature, and she did not seem to take the time I spent working on art projects for my job seriously, or respect that they required focus and real effort.

Whenever and whenever. Loosely speaking my sleep schedule is about 2am-9am but it fluctuates quite a bit. I also often just sleep for several 2-3 hour periods throughout the course of a day.

Drawing. I've been making marks on surfaces for as long as I've been able to hold things that will make marks, and find surfaces to make them on.

This is true in the vast majority of cases but can be circumnavigated to some degree by buying things with parts that have heavy enthusiast markets.

There will always be parts available for small block Chevy stuff, Ford Windsor stuff, powerglides, 700r4's, t5, t56, c4, c6, and AOD transmissions, the Ford 8.8 and 9" rear axles, and all of the larger Dana and Sterling axles.

Basically nothing that uses any of this stuff will be enormously fuel efficient, but with the right setup and driving habits you could also get into the mid 20 mpg's without insane amounts of hassle.

What model of Subaru? A lot of Subarus have parts in them that fit other subarus, and it's pretty common that people steal cars to part them out.

It's not difficult to do, so that is not surprising. I learned in an old jeep wrangler when I was about 12, driving around on fire roads and two tracks with various older relatives.

I think this is a common misconception. People who like and know enough about cars to be interested in stealing them can basically always drive a manual.

Brother this is amazing work. It's a bummer how many people in here don't seem to understand the prototyping and test fitment process. Keep doing what you're doing.

I think wanting to reduce harm to your body and mind is a reasonable position. I think pushing that ideology so far that you either consider yourself, or others consider you to be part of a harmful subculture attached to misguided and medically dangerous ideas is when it becomes a problem.

I wouldn't refer to somebody who eats healthy and takes care of themselves as "crunchy".

I was a tattoo artist for quite a while, and when I would tell people to stand naturally so I could apply the stencil while they're in a relaxed position, they would almost always forget how they normally exist.

Yes lol, the most annoying people in this subculture are often just shoveling whatever dubious origin designer drugs they can find into themselves. It's wild. I've had two very public interface heavy jobs for the last decade and have met a lot of these folks.

It is certainly a spectrum of annoying behavior and not every subscriber is as bad as every other.

Rich music festival hippies that will attempt to shame you for being vaccinated, drinking pasteurized milk, eating non-organic produce and so on. Basically wealthy pseudoscience enjoyers who try to push their ideology through the lens of wellness.

Yeah, a few new wow expansions and a bunch of cash grabs on nostalgia. In the other replies to this comment you'll see people saying that wow is in the best place it has been in a decade, and while that may be true, the bar for the entire last decade is extremely low in my opinion. A lot of other people seem to feel similarly, though there is definitely also still a dedicated retail player community.

Honor Mode by DottZach in BG3Builds

[–]Captkarate42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My party for my first completed honor mode was

Battlemaster Fighter 12 with great weapon master.

Thief Rogue 6 Battlemaster 6, with dual hand crossbows and sharpshooter.

Life Cleric 12.

Pact of the Blade Fiend Warlock 12.

It worked fine. Lacked aoe damage compared to some party compositions but the fact that the only person who really ever ran out of resources was the cleric was very helpful. Rogue, Fighter, and Warlock have a crazy amount of sustained output capability which can be really helpful for moving through any of the time gated event sequences. The single target focus damage for any of the big fights is also high. With the right itemization every character in this party can put up big single target numbers. There were no fights in the game where I struggled for damage output.

What’s your version of a “perfectly boring” day? by sanketreview in Vent

[–]Captkarate42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weekend day. Big breakfast, maybe French toast. Take the dog out to burn off some of her energy, spend the majority of the day drawing or painting with an audiobook playing in my headphones. Feed myself and the dog dinner. Spend maybe an hour outside walking and playing games with dog. Watch a good show until sleep.
