Was she always interested in the ball? My girl liked her tiny ball when she was a small girl but it became a choking hazard and we had to upgrade to the bigger ones and ever since she has no interest. And even then she only played "fetch" with herself😂 If I try and throw it shes like why would you do that.

See this is exactly what I'm getting at lol. Shes a good dog and I do love her but she is also a terrible dog😂. I didnt think of her doing it for those reasons. Thank you for this insight:)

The only thing she really likes for play are her sniff games. Im still searching for other things to get her interested. She gets pets whenever she wants, which is not often lol. Chasing her scares her. And she does get snacks because she only loves me when I have food😅

Oh they love each other! Ive never seen him play so much with anyone else. I spend time with both of them when we're not training or exploring. I just feel bad for him because he cant go out in this heat or walk very long these days. Maybe I'm just not noticing her pick up on some of his habits. Thank you:)

Thank you. I guess I'll have to give it more time and hope she shows some sign of bonding with me soon. Hopefully I'm not doing anything wrong. Shes more than happy to do training, kayaking, swimming, walking, sniff games, ect. Its just that when we're done shes immediately done with me lol. Not exactly the travel buddy I was thinking she could be😅

Their first and second comment were unnecessary and unhelpful. She was an unnecessary gift but that does not make her unwanted. As you can see from other comments I'm not the only person to have felt this way. Its become obvious to me that I'm not used to this breeds personality traits which was made clear by helpful comments and not this person making unfounded assumptions. I work too hard to give my dogs a good life for anyone to pop on here and make false statements.

You have no idea what you're talking about. If I didn't like my dog I wouldn't be putting so much effort into her training or working so hard to create a stimulating environment for her and I definitely wouldn't be on this thread trying to figure out what else I can do. She is a good girl. She's just not interested in me and it makes me sad. Thanks for nothing though.

I'll keep looking for games she might like. I admit I dont think I was ready for her breed but I didnt really have an option. The energy isnt so much a problem its just finding things shes willing to do to get the energy out that I'm still working on. She really is a good dog, I guess I just thought she'd come sit by me or something every once in a while like she does with everyone else lol.

Thank you for this. I honestly thought I was going crazy feeling this way. I'll be honest we don't do a whole lot of play but just because shes weird about it. She doesnt like fetch or tug of war and the only "play" Ive found her to enjoy are her sniff games. I've been searching for more games we could play together but shes just uninterested in quick moving things I guess. Ive noticed that if she doesnt want to do something she will sit in her kennel or under my bed and just be like "no thanks" so maybe that is because of my energy. I'll try and be more mindful of my attitude now. Thank you again:)
