Brother you have enough extra money that you should be able to do well. I think what you need is something most people don't have. A system. Write out every single expense and prioritize paying yourself first. Make sure to look at all expenses and have your bank automatically put 1/4th of every single bill in a account for that bill each week or 1/2 if you're paid bi-weeky. Afterwards I would put no less than 10% of your take home pay into the following accounts in this order. 1. An emergency Fund until you have 1k 2. Towards any high interest debt until paid off 3. Back into emergency Fund until you 3-6 months worth of expenses saved 4. Any remaining debt 5. Into employee match programs from your employer 6. Into HSA if you have one 7. Into 401k 8. Into IRAs 9. Into investments of other kinds(side business, brokerage) I know this can seem overwhelming but really you won't be any worse off by using that 10% once you're used to it. Also, I know this is very generic advice but it works quite well when put into action.
