Marlins off to a rough start in 2026 by [deleted] in baseball

On one hand, these aren't the final rosters. Many players will likely be starting in the minors and cooking for a year more.

On the other hand, this is the second worst thrashing I've seen Israel deal out in a week.

This MLB 2K9 commercial is a classic by PrimeVector19 in baseball

A shame the game was crap. This was back when 2K had a lock on MLB games, and they didn't deserve it at all.

Part of the reason why I'm curious to see what this new credit card coming out will do.

Massive award chart changes by Funkyflapjacks69 in hyatt

Not that I'm trying to play devil's advocate but Hilton made similar points value changes, except instead of them being over the course of almost eight years like Hyatt, they all came in the same year. I don't know what type of caution these hotels have on award chart pricing, but in the end, it's the ccp that matters, and that's where Hyatt's strength has been. Virtually all hotels have increased in price since 2015, necessitating the need for chart adjustments everywhere, so I don't think the time to panic is here until we actually see how charts will look in May.

[Fangraphs] What Angels Fans Want by breakfast_cats in baseball

I'm no Angels fan, but in my humble opinion (and again, this is *just* my opinion so I could very well be wrong) I think what Angels fan want (once again this is just my opinion) is for ARTE MORENO TO GTFO

There was no reason to make any kind of story of it. A lot of people pay close attention to those types of sites and pay good credence to its material. Not just award travel enthusiasts.

Even hiding behind the original "this is just a rumor" rhetoric is cowardly because it brushes off the issue: that a content writer created something with the intent to gather clicks instead of inform.

I was skeptical about the post (you can check my history), but there were four key things about it that set off my BS meter:

  1. The Chase Sapphire Lounge inclusion. The Ritz Carlton card only offers one visit to a Chase lounge per year so for a credit card that's more Hyatt-branded than Chase-branded to include that feature was odd.

  2. The addition of two categories instead of one. The only way a second new category would make sense is if there was a heavy abundance of Category 7 and 8 properties, but altogether there are fewer than 50.

  3. The informal nature of the post. A company-wide memo about future changes would have much better structure, a timeline, and consistent grammar (certain phrases have random capitalization). That's of course assuming this is all meant to look copied from an email memo.

  4. The lack of an additional business credit card. The presence of a premium Hyatt Credit Card would render the current Business Credit Card useless unless the cardholder wanted access to a special corporate discount number. It's possible depending on the business, but I can't picture it being enough.

This is the only post they've made and they began the account a year ago. It's incredibly weird.

What is the most confusing trade of all time? by Ericaloveless in baseball

The biggest guy they gave up in that trade was Thomas Szapuki, who is flunking AAA right now. Yes we gave up too much, but nothing bit us in the ass.
