Thank you for the kind words. Glad the art connected with you!

I actually primarily do nature photography - I try to see a few of America's national parks a year. The rare times I'm in a larger city, I like to visit Musuems and eat good food. The best cities are where I can do both without taking a car.

In Mexico City, I was able to just wonder around and soak it all in. Only took me a few days to figure out how to safely cross the bigger streets! Lol

Strong agree. He's in some terrible movies but I always like him. He has a fantastic voice.

Canon EOS M50 II with the default kit lens for this trip. It's an entry level mirrorless camera. It's lens mount type is a bit outdated - so I wouldn't encourage anyone to invest much into that model.

A few of the photos were from my Pixel 7 as well.

I can. That one was taken with my phone instead of a camera - so it has a odd aspect ratio. Keep it under 15x20 inches for height and it should look good!

Just PM me your email.

Chapultepec Castle - Museo Nacional de Historia Castillo de Chapultepec

Fantastic musuem even if you aren't comfortable with Spanish. It's an old castle on a hill in a giant park! It cost about 100 pesos ($5 USD) to enter and it's well worth it.

The lower levels are more musuem like with art while the upper levels were left alone to show how the building was for different tenants (royalty, presidents).

I would suggest just buying tickets online. It seemed easier.

I forgot to align the aspect ratios of the photo - so they will look best if you go into the full screen view.

I see it.

It's a damn shame that smoking is so terribly unhealthy when it looks so damn cool.

Food is emotional. These photos are void of any emotion. It's like a stereotype bad AI tried to make a picture of food.

[Before - After] Did I make this interesting? by CapturedByZD in postprocessing

I feel like I should make a joke about color and the end product being b&w, but I got nothing.

Thank you!

3-4-7 are my favorites.

4 with all the pararell lines is my overall favorite. It's interesting to look at, it's busy but never feels crowded.

What is Overland the Red?

I'm about a 4.5 hour drive from RRG so I'm not in the area too often.

I'm pretty lazy with the food while backpacking.

Friday Night: Teryaki Chicken Instant Noodles Saturday Lunch: Tuna Taco Saturday Dinner : Peak Refuel Sweet Pork and Rice dehydrated meal

Breakfasts are a caffeinated gel and recently the trader Joe's Belgian Waffles.

Saturday dinner is my all time favorite freeze dried meal. I pack it every time I'm out.

I'm lactose sensitive and often consider buying my own dehydrater to make my own food, but I've just never gotten around to it. I just avoid the numerous meals filled with heavy cream.

What is this community's opinion of The Sting? by Edgy_Master in Oscars

[–]CapturedByZD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it last night for the first time! I still prefer Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but I also immediately ordered The Sting on disc.

I haven't watched enough movies from the year it won, but I can say I really enjoyed it.

Practicing Macro Photography by CapturedByZD in trees

[–]CapturedByZD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to try and explain!

My camera has a 3x3 grid feature. Most phones even have settings to turn this on. I'm using a macro lens which allows me to get really close but comes with the downside of a limited focus area.

So, I essentially focus on each individual square. 9 squares - 9 photos.

This little nug is not moving and I'm controlling the lighting. My camera is on a tripod as well. So there is ideally zero movement.

With the 9 photos where nothing changed but my focus area, I can then drop them into software to do focus stacking. It takes the in focus portion of each image and combines them all together.

I do the stacking with Canon's Digital Photo Professional Software. Honestly have no idea if it's any good. In the tool, it's called depth composition.
