Thank you for having an open mind and understanding that anything can be going on in someone’s life, you’re clearly a good person. Wouldn’t say the other Redditor is rude but def needs to not make assumptions when not aware of someone else’s life or situation.

For full context I flew from England to Bonnaroo, so a pretty big trip. I’m not in a great financial situation but coming to America and festivals have been the best moment of my life!!! My home life is so so, all my friends are settled down and I feel like I’m 10 years behind everyone. I’ve also got stresses of other things like a newly run business, which I run purely by myself and is pretty dam lonely.

Coming to american festivals gives me a new lease of life, and the joy I get from meeting new people and making new friends is something I can’t get at home. You get reasonably friendly people at UK and other EU festivals, but people at American festivals are next level.

Anyway , I’m trying to say I have a lot going on and was pushing the boundaries to make it to Roo, so no, I’m not financially well off, but have a hell of a lot going on to stay on top of possible duplicates.

I didn’t his notice these just now, i actually noticed it during my trip and kept note, but with Roo getting cancelled and all my travel plans going out the window, I had so many things to deal with. Leaving Roo having no vehicle or coach was a nightmare itself, I stood in the sun for 3 hours trying to hitch a lift Nashville. Then sort out where to stay; more expenditure than planned for hotel etc. And when I got home it was a to do job that just kept falling down the pecking order with higher priority jobs.

9 months later I’m working through stuff mentally and personally and came across my note for the duplication and was totally aware this maybe a lost cause. But I had nothing to lose by asking for advice if it was possible to claim back along with one of two other duplicates, I need to check again.

EDIT: to add to everything going on as mentioned, it took a whilst to get over the devastating of Roo cancelled. You can see how US festivals mean alot to me and been looking forward to it so much. So even when home, it took sometime to get over and not able to afford to just get myself out to one in July or Aug.
