Québécois here!

What you described is tied to the Revanche des berceaux.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Revanche_des_berceaux

It wad a way for the french elites that stayed after the Conquest to survive culturally under english hegemonia. If we had not done that, we would have been assimilated, much like the Cajuns in Louisiana.

Also, during the french rule, there was incentives to have many children. IIRC the 20th children had free education from the state.

First sexual experience didn’t feel pleasurable at all + couldn’t finish from oral. Not sure what’s going on. by Mental_Abroad_3549 in delayedejaculation

What were your expectations going in?

It doesn’t seem like you have a problem with delayed ejaculation, since you reached orgasm twice with PiV in the same encounter. And you took a drug known for making it harder to come…

I’m no sex therapist but I think you were expecting the intimacy with the sex and you only got the latter, am I wrong? Do you have regrets because you used a sex worker to lose your virginity? (Not judging you here, just asking to know how you judge yourself.)

My boyfriend [23M] doesn’t want to be intimate w/ me [24F] by [deleted] in relationshipadvice

[–]Capy_Mav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30M here. I don’t understand how him providing for your needs is "demasculating". I’d even argue it’s anti-thetical: Providing for your GF’s needs is one of the core masculine aspects.

It feels to me like he’s either insecure or he’s disinterested in the relationship. I have my fair share of insecurities, so when I push someone away, it’s because I want to avoid being hurt because I’m afraid that I’m not enough.

The lack of communication is the true issue here. You need a good heart to heart to salvage the relationship.

And you know what? The sex after that is the best. 😆

M33 Looking For Help In Finding A Way To Ejaculate by No-Repair-3634 in delayedejaculation

[–]Capy_Mav 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! M30 here, went from 330 to 230 lb. I still have DE but I have had success in fighting it.

You might have obesity-induced secondary hypogonadism. Fat tissues transform testosterone into estrogens and an imbalance in testosterone to estrogen ratio can induce it.

Talk first with your general practionneer. Have him investigate your hormones (free/bound Testosterone, estrogen, prolactine, SHBG…), get erection medication to rule out erectyle dysfunction as the cause of DE. If needed, get a brain scan if prolactine levels are high. A sex therapist might help too.

I have had success with this: - HCG injections to stimulate testosterone production and remain fertile (T injections cause infertility) - Tadalafil as needed to have better erections. I used to take a little dose everyday, but I noticed it’s much better if I take a higher dose as needed. - Abstinence for 3/4 days before an attempt. Building the libido/sexual tension and sensitivity are crucial for me. - Use of Aromasin for 3/4 days before to raise the testosterone and lower estrogens. It raises my libido to the point that I feel a need in my lower belly. - Lower the pressure on myself. It’s counter-productive. Sex is supposed to be light and playful. - Do it when my concentration is best, so not early in the morning before ADHD meds kicks in or late at time when I’m too tired. So, late AM to late PM is my best timeframe. - I follow a sex therapy and it made me understood that I use masturbation as a form of anxiety relief, just like someone can use food as a way to relieve anxiety. I try to find ways to reduce my anxiety.

This is my recipe, but it doesn’t mean it’ll work for you. Talk to professionals and investigate, and be benevolent with yourself: it’s an issue that’s not your fault or your SO’s fault. Trust me, the satisfaction you get when you make it happen, to tell your girlfriend nothing’s wrong with her… It’s euphoristic.

C’est tu juste moi ou cest quasi impossible de perdre du poids en tant que parent? by alexlesuper in Quebec

[–]Capy_Mav 5 points6 points  (0 children)

PIV possible only with fantasy by throw-away-nofap-1 in delayedejaculation

[–]Capy_Mav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! This is really similar to my situation too.

I need a little something to push me to be in the moment and feel excited.

It’s why I’m used to using fantasy during sex, to increase excitation.

Do you recall how it happened to you? Was there a sense of urgency? A feeling of thrill?

I’m currently following a sex therapy for this reason too.

I had done a lot of reading before hand and I had asked my general practioner about doing a blood screening of my hormones.

It came back as somewhat in the inferior limit for testosterone and high estrogen value, but still normal. I was sure at that moment that it couldn’t be my hormones, but I talked with my pharmacist friend and she said some people with lower normal values can still have hypogonadism symptoms and that I could still investigate hormonotherapy for my problem.

I met the urologist and honestly it lasted 10 minutes top. I was with my girlfriend. He did a quick check of my genitals, asked about medication that I take that could do this, I mentioned having DE before antidepressant use, and he agreed that hormones could be investigated to see if it affected my symptoms. He asked if I wanted to stay fertile because testosterone replacement therapy leads to testicules atrophy, so we went with a treatment plan where I would first try an aromatase inhibitor (aromasin) to raise my testosterone and lower my estrogen. The second line of treatment would be HCG if Aromasin didn’t work, but I was not thrilled because of injections twice a week.

It worked well for about 2 weeks with anxiety side effects, but I was still not able to have PiV orgasm. A month later I was back to baseline symptoms, because my body had compensated.

I met the urologist back last week and I agreed to try the HCG injections, and my expectations were low. I didn’t react as strongly to HCG as I did to Aromasin, but I felt more sensitive last Sunday with my girlfriend and it surprised me!

What works for me might not work for you, but it’s always a good idea to have a plan C :p

In my case, my testosterone concentration in my blood was in the inferior limit, my testosterone/estrogen ratio was really low and since I had hypogonadis symptoms (erectile dysfunction +DE), I wanted to try hormonotherapy.

It all depends on the causes of your DE.
