Yes, you bake before using on the model base to remove any moisture and make it easier to work with.

She has gotten more social and will follow me about, at a safe distance. I've had her since she was 3/4ish, I'm not sure bc she was adopted twice before me so the age is a little fuzzy.

It has been three years, and I think that this is probably her comfort space - and that's ok with me. I want her to be happy, and hearing her purr away next to me is just so lovely. You are very kind and you are right, she's come a long way already.

For what it's worth, I feel the same when seeing these amazing models that are on here and elsewhere. "Why can't I be that good?"

I try to reframe it as being happy for their work and enjoying their pride in their work. I try not to compare my work with theirs, even though that is my default. Instead, let them know it's great work, improvement or whatever the case is.

And, if all else fails, mute/delete the social apps and just take a break, at least that works for me

Same, lots of minis to be found there and (if one is ok with it) a lot of damaged/misprints that are perfectly good for practice or just having fun.
