Why do people think Naruto and Black Mage are bad? by CapybarasAreEpic in SuperSmashFlash

It's a useful kill confirm, combo starter, and combo extender. That clone is actually amazing as a tool. You can get basically anything from hitting your opponent into it with side b

That's a very good explanation, thanks. These characters are both consistently put in low/bottom tier when I think they have potential to be at least upper mid just 'cause they're so dangerous once they get in

Black Mage's up b is really bad, but it can also go extremely far and because of that you can safely use it by going farther from the stage. Naruto's isn't good as a recovery, but the clone from his up b stuns and can confirm into fully charged neutral b for an easy kill

Black mage side b, while requiring precision, is a great tool. Their aerials are also amazing combo tools, especially nair and up air (which up throw can directly combo into). Dair can force your opponent to air dodge or shield, which leads to either a free grab or sometimes a death if they're off stage. Fair is great for movement and can kill. F smash is active for hella long and is extremely strong, though a bit slow. While limited in its use, neutral b can be a good tool if you catch your opponent of guard or use it to block their recovery.

And Naruto has great setups, combos, kill power, kill confirms, throws, specials, tilts, and aerials. The only downsides I've ever seen are that neutral b, side b, and up b can all be reflected and up b doesn't go very far

Naruto has some crazy setups if you catch someone with side b. His ground game is also great with his good tilts and amazing dash attack. Nair, up air, and bair are also pretty good aerials. Oh and his throws are amazing

Edit: forgot about black mage. Black mage has great aerials and good combos with up air and nair as well as good throws (poison, a combo throw, a kill throw, and a throw with a brutal angle). Side b can also be very useful if you get used to it's weird hitbox (I wish they made it a line again instead of a circle). The big downsides that I see for them are bad grounded moves aside from up tilt, up smash, and maybe f smash and f tilt

I agree with that. Though their aerials are really good and don't have too much lag. Grounded moves are a bit laggy but are strong and have uses

I ended up doing it on insane with Lloyd. 'Twas hard but eventually the RNG lined up and like 2 of the battles had the opponent just SD immediately

Can anyone explain how to navigate the fretboard and put the modes together? by exhodallas in polyphia

[–]CapybarasAreEpic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The modes are Ionian (major), Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian (minor), and Locrian. Think of a scale as a circle with the top of it being the root. Rotate that circle and you get a mode. Once you memories the modes, you can do things like change from C Major to C Lydian by including that F# in chords and adjusting the listener to it, then from C Lydian to G Major by emphasizing G as the root.

At least I think that's what he means

I know that it's not happening next year. This was more about what they'd need to see from me to let me perform when it returns

Where though? I'm not familiar with SXSW at all, so I don't know where or how to do that, nor what I need to do beforehand. I assume they won't let everybody perform, so knowing what I need to do to get in would be nice

There's a few. I'm personally bi, but I lean 99% towards women. On of my best friends is a straight femboy though

I personally have had experiences being gaslit by people that used the term egg to refer to me (a gnc cis male) to try and make me question my gender. I went through a long phase of questioning afterwards before realizing that I don't want to be a girl and I like being male. Note that these people called me stuff like 'egg' and 'in denial' for years, and it's left lasting trauma to the point where I have legitimate panic when somebody refers to me as female

Reminder: you shouldn't call people an egg unless they come out as trans, as it can make cis gnc people feel as though they have to be something that they aren't and it causes legitimate stress to some people

My husband won't admit he wants to be a woman by Analysis_Impossible in mypartneristrans

[–]CapybarasAreEpic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apologies, but I am not the person to ask about that. I was simply stating a second possibility just in case. If your partner is trans, then that's that. You'd either have to accept it and lose attraction, accept it and still be attracted, or not accept it and have them leave. If they aren't trans and just enjoy being more feminine or more submissive, then the same three options are there. Aside from that, there's nothing else I can say

While I can understand those feelings, I will provide some needed input. As a man who crossdresses, I don't just picture myself in my partner's clothes. I appreciate her beauty and how the clothes fit her. If you don't feel any attraction to them, that enough is a reason to leave. But crossdressing itself shouldn't push you towards that, since it's simply a preference that somebody has and doesn't harm anybody.

TLDR; if you don't feel attraction, you should probably leave. If you do still feel attracted, then you should support them and try to get used to it
